Hello admin, I am a 35 year old Mexican catholic girl and I have fallen madly in love with a Brahmin hindu guy here in Usa..he told me from the beginning that our future as a couple was not meant for marriage, that his family will never accept even if I started living y life as a hindu..vegetarianism,following the hindu rituals and all..still he wants to be with me until his family finds him a bride back in India..he says he loves me deeply but he cannot challenge his parents ..im so heartbroken..is he just passing time with me..I don’t know.

We agree to your suggestions to every girl… and in that order.

Can you explain what does “idol” mean? Catholics have many idols, like Jesus’ idols in many shapes and color, the wood-cross idol, the idol of Mother Mary, Peter, Paul, and more. Muslims use the kaaba idol and pray only in the direction of Saudi Arabia even God is in all directions, why? Jews use Jerusalem wall to pray even it is made of only stones. Are you saying all these are idols?

Tell us what is wrong having faith in Mother Mary and Ma Durga? What is wrong having faith in Christ and Krishna. Tell us why are you confused? Who says a baptized cannot pray Hindu way (and vice versa)? Explain us!

Idol means a lifeless thing which is being worshiped.Church doesn’ t promote idol worship.Statues of Jesus,Mary,Saints…which are placed on the churches are rememberence of them. Church teaches ,give adoration to God, veneration to saints, highper venaration to Our Lady

Great point. Jesus cross or idol of Mary is lifeless but it is a medium Christians use to remember Jesus’ great messages. It is exactly the same for kaaba black cubed shaped building used by Muslims. Jews use the Jerusalem wall, it is the same idea of remembering the history. Those who do not have faith in them may find cross, kaaba or wall as idol but it means something holy to people with faith.

Hindus also use many statues and images, as a medium to pray. For example, they install soul (pran prathistha) into a Lord Ganesh murti and use it as a medium to pray. Then they do the viserjan (i.e. departure) of Ganesh and dump the idol into the ocean. The objective here is to teach devotees that they are not worshipping a statue but the thought behind it. Got it!

It is good to be with your family.Keep your mind strong. You are aged you can take your own decisions. No one can make us sad, our mind creates sadness.Always be happy.Find things for enjoyment.Thirsty for happiness.Smile to every one
