Being I staunch muslim women of Quraish tribe, my father being a Alim I have been taught Islam the best way it could have been. I am now totally disassociated with my faith. There is a lot of patriarchy and women subjugation in Islam.
There are fatwas that even while delivering child if my shauhar wants sex I should give him sex.

I am a divorced(not yet married 2nd time) 34 year hindu male married 5 years back but after 6 months my wife went to her mother’s(father expired) for one week but after a week she did not return and stayed back there by giving excuses, eventually after one and half month she told me that she does not want to come back as she could not cope with me and my parents. I tried hard to persued her but failed and she filed a divorce. It is 3 years since we got divorced and had no communication with her afterwards. Recently while travelling in a bus I came across an aunty who was the neighbour of my ex wife. I enquired her about my ex wife and she told that(initially she was reluctant to reveal) she was married to a muslim as his 2nd wife just after the divorce as she was already pregnant and now she and her mother both lives in a muslim moholla. I am in total shock.
Islam is disgusting when it comes to women.

Our own research shows that 45% of Muslims in America marry outside Islam (https://interfaithshaadi.org/the-changing-landscape-of-muslims-in-america-a-survey-of-interfaith-marriages/). This does not mean now new generation of Muslims are open-minded and a reformers. Unfortunately, most (90%?, sorry we do not have any statistics for it) Muslim will want the non-Muslim party to convert to Islam and/or expect the children to be raised only in Islam. This is unfortunate and should change.
