The evil practice of sodomy, rape in the Madarasas by Imams and Maulvies, has become a common feature in Pakistan and Afganistan due to talibani influence in the Mosques and Madrasas.
I had a heated exchange of dialogues with Maulvies on this issues, which is also available on You tube.
In fact only a few incidents come to light otherwise thousands of incidents do not flash, either the parents do not want due to insult and shame to family, threatening from the Maulvies and Imams who have links with notorious elements, no support from Police and the Imams put counter allegations, with undue pressures and influence against which poor parents cannot open their mouths. In the name of teachings of Koran poor kids are subject to such evil practices. It is the unfortunate part of muslim community that even after so many evils, majority of the public do not condemn and oppose openly as they might be punished in the name of blashphemy, a cruel reality of the islamic religion.

A number of Tunisian women have traveled to Syria to have sex with rebel fighters, a senior Tunisian politician said Thursday. The practice is known as “sexual jihad.”
The women “are swapped between 20, 30, 100 rebels,” Interior Minister Lotfi Bin Jeddo told an assembly of Tunisian lawmakers, according to Al Arabiya. “We are doing nothing and standing idle.”
“After the sexual liaisons they have there in the name of ‘jihad al-nikah,’ they come home pregnant,” he said, according to Agence France-Presse. (Jihad al-nikah is an Arabic phrase meaning “sexual holy war,” AFP explains.)
Jeddo did not specify how many Tunisian women have traveled to the embattled Muslim country.
A fatwa, or an Islamic religious ruling, was reportedly issued last spring, calling for women to travel to Syria to provide intimacy to jihadi fighters there, Al Monitor reported at the time. Although some said reports of the fatwa were false, Tunisia’s minister of religious affairs spoke out against the order, saying Tunisian women and girls were not required to obey it.
Why some women would obey such an order is less clear, but one expert suggests they may believe it’s an act of devotion.
“Muslim women prostituting themselves in this case is being considered a legitimate jihad because such women are making sacrifices—their chastity, their dignity—in order to help apparently sexually-frustrated jihadis better focus on the war to empower Islam in Syria,” writes author and Islam expert Raymond Ibrahim for The Investigative Project On Terrorism, a nonprofit research organization that studies jihad.
Egypt warns giving women some rights could destroy society
UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) -Egypt‘s ruling Muslim Brotherhood warns that a U.N. declaration on women’s rights could destroy society by allowing a woman to travel, work and use contraception without her husband’s approval and letting her control family spending.
The Islamist party of President Mohamed Mursi outlined 10 reasons why Muslim countries should “reject and condemn“ the declaration; The Brotherhood, which helped to elect Morsi to power in June, posted the statement on its website, http://www.ikhwanweb.com/
The Muslim Brotherhoodsaid the declaration would give “wives full rights to file legal complaints against husbands accusing them of rape or sexual harassment, obliging competent authorities to deal husbands punishments similar to those prescribed for raping or sexually harassing a stranger, give girls sexual freedom, legalize abortion, provide teenagers with contraceptives, give equality to women in marriage and require men and women to share duties such as child care and chores , equal rightsto homosexuals, and provide protection and respect for prostitutes” and “equal rights to adulterous wives and illegitimate sons resulting from adulterous relationships.”
The Muslim Brotherhood should be worried. Equal rights for women would not destroy society but Islam.

Today women occupy high positions in all professions.
Today it is illegal for a husband to have sex with his wife against her will. Spousal rape is rape. “No means No” is a legal right for women.
Today wife-beating is a crime.
The new draft of Egypt’s post-revolution of the constitution article 36 concerning women’s right and freedoms contains an additive which discloses that “men and women are equal, so long as this equality does not violateIslamic laws.”
Lawyer Sobhi Saleh, Muslim Brotherhood figure and member of the Constituent Assembly in charge of drafting Egypt’s post-revolution constitution stated “Whoever objects to this bit will be objecting to the Islamic faithand wreaking havoc unnecessarily. Those who protest have to know that there is no absolute equality between men and women inIslam and inheritance is an example”.
In Islam, a married woman is the property of her husband. He is permitted to use violence to control his wife. Wife beating is divinely sanctioned by Allah in the Koran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad.
Quran 4:34 Men (Muslims) are in charge of women (Muslimah), therefore Allah has made the Muslim (men) to excel the Muslim (women), and because Muslim (men) spend of their property, so good women (Muslimah) are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah has guarded. As for those women (Muslimah/wives) from whom you fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and beat them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them…

Four reasons that sanction men beating their wives:
· if she refuses to beautify herself for him.
· if she refuses sex when he asks for it.
· if she refuses to pray or perform ritual ablutions.
· if she goes out of the house without a valid reason.
Also, Muhammad’s example is normative for Muslims, since he is an “excellent example of conduct” (Quran 33:21) – and Aisha reports that Muhammad struck her. Once he went out at night after he thought she was asleep, and she followed him surreptitiously. Sharia Law mandates the oppression and subjugation of women:
Wife beating “[A husband] may hit her, but not in a way that injures her, meaning he may not break bones, wound her, or cause blood to flow.” (Reliance of the Traveler, Section m10.12)
Honor killing – “The following are not subject to retaliation: a father or mother for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring. (ibid Section o1.2(4))
Women over the age of puberty are not permitted to leave the house without covering the body (except face and hands). Fatwa 667, Part No. 17, Page 142-150
Women are not permitted to travel without a spouse or male relative. Fatwa 12139, Part No. 11, Page 38
Women are not permitted to be alone with men who are not relatives or spouses, and the punishment for such “indecency” is whipping or stoning. Fatwa 9693, Part No. 12, Page 381 & 382
Women are not permitted to speak softly to a man or otherwise provoke his desire with letters, phone calls or glances, the punishment of which is whipping or stoning. Fatwa 9693, Part No. 12, Page 381 & 382
Nearly half Saudi and Egyptian women are beaten up by their husbands or other family members.
To give Muslim women equal rights would be to deny the validity that Quran 4:34 and thus imply that Q.4:34 and other teachings are not from Allah but were fabricated by Muhammad. The imprisonment of Muslim women – their subjugation and oppression and denial of their humanity and equality – is based on the evil lie of the “divinity” of the Quran.
We must fight for the right of all Muslim women to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. To prevent the enslavement of women, Sharia Law must be exposed and stopped. All anti-woman teachings of the Quran and Hadith must be condemned and rejected. This Constitutional Amendment, to be submitted to all states of USA for immediate enactment must also be ratified by all 57 Muslim countries. In this Proclamation, each anti-woman teaching of the Quran and Sharia Law are condemned and made illegal. By doing so, and making these rights – denied by Islam – “Constitutional”, we are reinforcing our rejection of Sharia Law and the Quran, making it impossible for Muslims to undermine the democratic rights of women in the United States and worldwide. This Amendment and the rights of women must be taught to student in every school in America and all other countries.
The battle of establishing the rights of women universally will also act as a key for defeating Islam. All Islamic nations must enact the Constitutional Amendment granting their women total humanity and equality. Those nations that refuse to sign and implement the Amendments will be thrown out of the international community. This means denying visas to the UN delegations of ALL 57 Islamic nations leaving their seats empty until they not only adopt this Constitutional Amendment but enforce it. Those of us, involved in the battle against Islam, must champion the worldwide movement for total and complete equality of ALL women with men. We are not in conflict with Muslims, but with Islamic teachings that Muslim men use to subjugate and denigrate women of their own faith and beyond. We must fight for their equal human rights and dignity. Only in this way will Islam be defeated and condemned to the trash bin of history along with Nazism and Communism.

Police in Handwara have arrested a man on the charges of raping his minor sister-in-law.
The accused, father of four children, Muhammad Amin Sheikh son of Ghulam Muhammad Sheikh of Behnipora Rajwar was arrested after 15-year old girl gave birth to a male neonate in a Srinagar hospital on January 8, sources told Greater Kashmir.
They said the victim in her statement to police alleged that the accused (brother-in-law) drugged and raped her for about 40 days at his home. The accused had brought his sister-in-law to his home for performing household chores as his wife had delivered a male-baby in second week of April in 2012.
“For about six weeks, he drugged and raped the minor girl two to three times each night. The girl complained of pain in belly time and again, when she reached back home. She could not urinate in the fourth month of her pregnancy as we were totally unaware of what had happened to her,” brother of the victim stated in written complaint to police.
SP Handwara Chowdary Muhammad Aslam said: “We have arrested the accused. He confessed to have committed the crime, and an FIR under sections 376 has been registered against the accused.”
Family members of the victim took her to doctors at sub-district hospital Zachaldara, where doctors suggested an Ultra Sonography (USG). “We were shocked to know that the test showed minor girl had conceived for about four months. The doctors warned that any attempt to abort the unborn child would put the minor girl’s life at risk,” said her brother Feroz Ahmad.
On the advice of doctors, the girl was finally admitted to a Srinagar hospital, where she delivered a male baby after a caesarian. “We are in shock and my daughter is in extreme stress. Now most
people in our locality know about this beastly act of my son-in law. I appeal police to prepare a strong case against him so that he is sentenced for life or hanged. He has committed an inhuman act and deserves a stringent punishment,” said her father.

So, I request the educated Muslim girls who have gone thr’ excruciating experiences in the Islamic society due to their utmost faith on Muhammad, they should try to restrain their language. A private sex racket of a truly Islamic nature is now exposed in Kashmir valley after arrest of a so called Muslim Darvish (holy man) against a charge of raping innocent girls under a scheme of ‘purification’ and retaining ‘endless-youth’ of damsels. The Darvish who allegedly raped young Kashmiri girls on the pretext of purifying and revitalizing the sexual power of women under a subtle guidance of Quranic knowledge of Behast (Islamic heaven).
Public has been alerted not to fall prey to these type Muslim unholy men who exploit both the Muslim and non-Muslim girls and women in the name of false purification or sex-gambling.
Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, who is mostly known as Revered ‘Sayed Gulzar’, ran a residential institution for girls which offered a two-months course in Islamic studies for ‘Purification of Sex’ in Khansahib area of Budgam district in Kashmir valley.
According to the girls, the Muslim holy man (Peer-Darvish) would quote saying the Arabic qutations from quran to justify his free sexual activities with them to induce the endless sensuality to his counterparts under an eminent Islamic power.
Sources say that four girl students, all aged under 18, complained to the police that ‘Sayed Gulzar’ indulged in sexual activities with them at hostel and most of the time he invited other persons from outside to perform group sex inside the Muslim girls’ hostel.
“He would tell the girls that having sex with him was necessary to purify them from all evil”.
Police said medical examination of the girls confirmed rape. Consequently, Gulzar has been booked under section 376 (Punishment for rape) of Indian Penal Code. [FIR No: 40/2013 of Budgam Police].
‘Sayed Gulzar’, known as also ‘Miracle Baba’, who often gave advertisement in local newspapers claiming to be a Sufi Saint, also delivered sermons through cable TV network in Kashmir Valley.
Moulavi Muhammad Amin, the whistleblower in this case, says the preacher would manipulate verses of Quran to motivate the girls in to free sex. He alleges that Gulzar has so far raped nearly 200 girls at the hostel (read orchard of Islamic sex fair).
In India and other places, Muslim Peer and Darvishes run various black magic centers to sell Tabizs (metal bullet with false divine power), message oils and divine water, Allah name charts etc. to influence the non-Muslims, especially the women folk.
These danes are mostly controlled by women trafficking rackets, where most of the girls and women are generally exploited during their slot of wearing the Tabiz in a naked condition, massaging with special oil or sprinkling of water under a spell. Sometime the girls and women are given sedatives or stimulating things in drinks to decontrol them. Hidden cameras are also used in the whole process to blackmail the victims for a long time.
These Muslim Peer-Maulavu-Darvishes are working many a time as catalyst of ‘Love Jihad’ & ‘Rape Jihad’ hatched against non-Muslim girls.

An imam has been apprehended in suspicion of sexually abusing a child in South-Kazakhstan Oblast, Tengrinews.kz reports.
Last Thursday a citizen of Kairanbulak village applied to police claiming that the imam of the local mosque committed a sexually abused her 12-y.o. daughter.
The Muslim religious leader was apprehended the same day. Initially the police stated that the imam “was not suspected of rape, but of sexual violence”. “The arrest warrant has not been issues yet. The court will issue it tomorrow and the prosecutors have supported the claim,” the police stated.
The imam later admitted his fault. According to the Interior Department, the 26-y.o. imam of Kainarbulak village “does not deny his fault and is deeply sorry”.
According to police, the suspect is married and has a child. The mosque in Kainabulak village is the first place of work of the clergyman.
A criminal case was initiates against the imam for violent actions of sexual nature against a person clearly under 14-y.o.”
The imam of the oblast mosque Baibut Myrzageldiyev later declared that the imam accused of violent actions against an underage girl was not an official imam of the mosque.
Head of the oblast mosque said that the official imam had not been elected in Kainarbulak village. The mosque was built in September and the official appointment was not made yet. The 26-y.o. man was elected by the local believers as there was nobody else with a similar religious education.

The Arabians then had a very rich, flourishing culture, which thanks to this man called Muhammad, has changed to something else. Amongst the good nature of the Arabs then were the practice of Infanticide (the killing of babies), the Arabs then bury their female babies alive due to the fact that they bring shame to their family. What a beautiful culture they had then. But no thanks to Islam this beautiful act of killing babies is nowhere to be found in Arabia anymore.
Women had no right in the society at that time, after all why should they? They were just public or private property, a father could get his daughter married to whom ever he pleases and she has no say, but this man called Muhammad brought an abrupt stop to this beautiful practice, to make matters worse, not only could women have the freedom and say in their marriage, but could also participate in public services such as educating not only children but even men. How disgusting. Not to talk about his claims that a man should listen to his mother trice before he should listen to his father once. Simply because she gave birth to me.
Till date the Arabs are still trying to bring back that beautiful culture of forcing their children into marriage, this beautiful culture is actually not Islam it is Arabic, you can never find such beauties in Islam.

A prayer leader and his son in Khawaja Gharib Nawaz area were arrested on Tuesday on allegations of sexual assault.
They would be presented before the court on Thursday (today) to seek their physical remand.
15-year-old Saira said that she was regularly abused by Maulvi Haq Nawaz and his son Sajid.
As usual the pressure from different religious clerics mounted and police also too their side, ultimately a compromise was arranged with the victims parents and maulvi and his son were set free, after few months only.;
She used to go to the masjid to learn Quran from Nawaz. She told her parents about the incident after she became pregnant who then arranged an abortion. Saira’s parents consulted their neighbours and caught the prayer leader and his son and handed them over to the police. Setal Mari police station house officer Akhtar Hussain told The Express Tribune that they have registered a case against the two and were investigating them. Quoting the girl’s neighbours, he said that Nawaz and his son admitted to sexually assaulting her on being beaten up.
“The girl came to the police station with her parents and neighbours. I’ll make sure that if Nawaz is guilty he gets the harshest possible sentence,” he said.
Hussain said that Nawaz’s son seemed to be innocent in the whole issue, adding that this was only his impression and a conclusion could only be made after complete investigations.
The police have sent Saira’s blood samples to the Civil Hospital Multan for tests to ascertain her claims.

KARACHI: A woman, identified as Zainab, was arrested on Thursday from the Shah Faisal Colony area of Karachi for the murder of her second husband an Imam also.
Zainab alleged that she had murdered her husband after he had tried to molest and rape her 17-year-old daughter, who was from her first marriage. She claims she had stopped him from doing so on several occasions in the past.
Zainab had murdered her Imam husband last night and chopped parts of his body into pieces. She had then cooked the meat and was attempting to pour it down a drain. The stench of the cooked meat alerted people in the area, who called the police.
Police found two cooking pots filled with meat and a trunk which contained the rest of the husband’s body parts. The woman had planned on cooking the rest of the body later.
Zainab had married Ahmed four years back without informing her family. Her first husband had died 10 years ago.Police has started an investigation into the matter.

This is an incident of March 2012, where an imam has been arrested on the charge of raping a fourth-grade student at Tangibari upazila in Munshiganj district.
The accused was identified as Mohammad Abrarul Haque, 35, the imam of Dhamaran Jame Mosque.

The child’s maternal grandfather has filed a case in this connection.
Later again same story of pressure and threatening , the case was withdrawn and Imam set free.

The United Kingdom’s Muslim problem has reached a critical level of infestation. No-go zones where Sharia Law is king have law enforcement shying away from Islamic neighborhoods. Even the powerful imams seem to do whatever they please without any concern in regards to the local laws.
In the indoctrination centers (some of us refer to as mosques), the imams do as they please by throwing around their influence as a holy man. A great example is the news of the British imam that raped a young twelve year old boy many times inside the mosque over a three-month period.
The 42-year-old imam, Mohammed Hanif Khan, is also charged with attempting to rape the young boy’s slightly older, 15-year-old cousin over the same period of time.
Khan used his power and influence as imam of a mosque to separate the boy from the congregation, and order the child to complete his prayers in a separate area. Once the child was isolated from the other people, the imam used his special access to young boys while enjoying the protection of his powerful reputation in the Muslim community.
The areas the boys were lured to were private areas of the mosque that were not being filmed by cameras.
With the 15-year-old, Khan used his power as imam to persuade the child to sleep over at the imam’s house. Once the young boy was in the imam’s home, Khan made his move without any worries.
The imam’s misconduct is no less evil than the conduct of any other pedophile, be they a pervert watching the local elementary school, or a Catholic priest using his religious position as the imam did. But, as with any other situation like this, one wonders how many more Islamic mosques suffer from this kind of pedophilia?
The big difference with Islam’s pedophilia problem is that the Muslim leaders are simply emulating their prophet. After all, it is well documented that Muhammad was a pedophile as well. In fact, Muhammad’s child bride, Aisha, was only 6-years-old when she married the Islamic founder, and Muhammad consummated his marriage with her when she was only 9. He was, at that time, 54 years old.
The only difference between Muhammad and today’s imams is now the molested children are boys, too.
Realize, this is not happening at some mosque deep in the Middle East. This was a mosque in the United Kingdom. I couldn’t even imagine the types of perverse incidents that are probably happening in Islamic countries in the Middle East, where society is more closed-off and such crimes don’t get reported by any media. In Islamic countries, the media is state-controlled, and Islamic leadership does whatever it can to ensure news about pedophilia in the mosques does not get out.
Islam does not allow the questioning of authority, save unless one be willing to suffer dire consequences. Consider: Would the parents of the boy in question have been shunned by the Islamic community had they questioned its leader? Quite likely.
I deduce that Islam is a petty religion which robs people of their individuality. It has never truly evolved. It’s the same petty religion now as it was when its founder was in bed with a nine-year-old girl.
If a crime ( like kidnappings or murders etc ) happens randomly, I agree it need not be linked with the religion. Problem starts when a crime happens in the name of religion.

Green Town abuse case: Maulvi accused of raping child gets bail

LAHORE: Maulvi Muhammad Altaf, a Quran teacher accused of raping a five-year-old boy in a mosque, was granted bail after the victim’s family agreed not to pursue the case and withdrew its witnesses.
The family was known to have signed an agreement on stamp paper with the accused some time ago stating that neither side would prosecute the other, and that the family had nominated Maulvi Altaf on suspicion but now ‘forgiven’ him. The agreement was signed after the family came under pressure from Nasir Colony, Green Town, residents, religious groups and the son of a top government figure.
The sessions court granted Maulvi Altaf bail after two witnesses from the victim’s family withdrew their statements. However, police told Daily Times that they would send the challan to the court.
“According to the challan, there is only one suspect in the case, Maulvi Altaf,” a police official said. “We will send the challan because the family, according to the agreement, did not deny that the child was sexually abused. They only forgave or excluded the maulvi from the case.”
Muhammad Aslam, the victim Talha’s grandfather, lodged a first information report (FIR) at Green Town police station on June 7 against Maulvi Altaf, 26, under Section 12/7 of the Hudood Ordinances accusing him of raping his grandson. According to the FIR, the boy, Talha, went to the Lajneh Mosque to study on the afternoon of June 6 but did not return home at his usual time. His mother went to the mosque to fetch him and found him lying in on the steps. He was bleeding and unconscious. Talha, from a family of rickshaw drivers, also made a statement identifying Maulvi Altaf as his attacker in front of police.
After the agreement to withdraw the case was reached, the top government figure’s son reportedly offered the family Rs 7,000 through his assistant for Talha’s treatment.
Maulvi Altaf’s release was celebrated by residents who pressed the family to compromise by distributing sweets, a Nasir Colony resident told Daily Times on Wednesday night.
The victim’s clothes were sent for sperm tests to a lab, but his mother had washed the clothes and no sample was found, the police official said. Two earlier reports confirmed that the child had been raped, but this last test was to check if the sample matched the accused’s sperm.
The Lajneh Mosque on College Road, Nasir Colony, is run by the Lajneh Trust, a non-government organisation. The trust also runs a school and dispensary. Maulvi Altaf lived in room in the trust building.

I really thought there could be mindful debates about the problems people face and good advices from admins but all I see here is hateful deliberate remarks from innumerous people about Islam but none from muslims like me who have no problem in their faith. I have not blind foldedly accepted Islam, and mind you I have done my own research about Islam which spans over almost a year. Even I know the conditions of few people who have to go through all this, but there are bad fishes in every religion, it doesn’t mean the religion is to be blamed. Also, I live in a secular place and have friends from different communities infact some of my closest friends are muslims, christians, jains (you name it). The data provided by me is based on the feedback and survey conducted by NGO through informal channels worldwide. The actual data may be very high.
I suggest following remedial measures to avoid rape/sodomy practices in Madrasas:-
1. The parents before sending their kids to the madarasas should enquire about the character of imam through other students and their parents.
2. The parents must be friendly with their kids and should take update of the madrasas daily from the kids.
3. The Govt. should appoint an authority who takes feedback from the children directly outside madarasa premises about behaviour of imam or maulvies.
4. The maulvies should be appointed of high character particularly older age, not below 50 years.
5. All the parents should be united and in the event of any untoward happenings should resist and seek justice.
6. Govt. should keep strict watch on the functioning of madarassa.
7. No terrorist or anti social element should be allowed to mix up with the Imams or maulvies.
8. Beyond Madarasa hours, watch should be kept on the behaviour, activities and movements of maulvies.
9. The village Sarpanch or head of the village should exercise strict control over activities and functioning of madarasas.
There are several provisions of procecuting the criminals, but unless parents and society raise the voice, pressurizing Govt. agencies, nothing is going to happen. Islam is religion, where no body dares to speak against its evils.

“There were many arguments, but something in my head told me that I did not want to get married, and now I think about it, I was rebelling, because the thought of someone touching me was sickening, but I could not talk about it.
“My father allowed me to go to college under one condition that he will drop me off at the college and pick me up.
She had thoughts of running away, where to go, the only option was her eldest brother’s house, but they too closed their doors to Nabila.
“In those days we did nothing but watch Bollywood films, you know girl meets boy; they get married and live happily ever after.
“Well I wanted all that, I wanted the Bollywood dream. At college I met a boy – he was a Sikh and as soon as my sister in law heard about it, things changed very quickly.
“Things became extremely difficult at home. I was not allowed to do anything.
Although my brothers had girlfriends and went out I was kept under a lock and key all the time.

Imam arrested for ‘raping’ 8-year-old
Police have arrested an imam on charges that he violated an 8-year-old female madrasa student at Pirojpur district’s Swarupkathi upazila.
Upzila’s Qazi Bari Mosque’s Imam Mohammar Nurul Islam was arrested after the girl’s parents lodged a rape case on Saturday with the Swarupkathi Police Station, police said.
Station’s inspector (investigation) Surendranath Adhikari told bdnews24.com that Nurul Islam, a Fazil grade student of the upazila’s Sarsina Alia Madrasa, was also presented before the court following his arrest.
According to case details, Islam was appointed to tutor the victim in Arabic. Islam reportedly violated the girl when she was alone at the madrasa in the morning.
Her parents admitted her to upazila health complex after the girl arrived home and fell sick.
After lodging the case, the victim’s mother told reporters, “I sent her to the imam to learn Arabic thinking he was a good person. But I did not know this would happen.”
I am a Moroccan and I lived there into the middle of my life and traveled almost all across the country.

homosexuality has a very rich history in the Muslim world. A number of caliphs openly chose favorites and paraded them around. One of them would make history. Captured and kept as ransom were the future Prince Vlad III Dracula (also known as Vlad III Ţepeş (tsepesh) or Vlad III the Impaler) and his brother Radu; they were kept as security for the obedience of Prince Vlad II Dracul to the Ottoman sultan. While captured, Vlad witnessed the, um, violation of his brother – who would later be known as Radu the Handsome. He was the Caliph’s favorite, and led the Caliph’s armies against his rebellious brother, Vlad.
In some societies during some areas, homosexuality was practically the norm, if not just tolerated or accepted. Of course, seeing the Muslim world’s traditional view of (or, rather, against) women – breeders to kept out of sight and hearing – this is not so surprising.
And although most areas where homosexuality was prevalent no longer are so, it still flourishes, really, in some areas. Most notorious are among the ultra-religious in South Asia – the all-men networks of madrasas (Islamic schools), Islamist groups, Islamist gangs, the Taliban. Indeed, the northwest of South Asia (what today is the Northwest Frontier Province of Pakistan, the tribal areas across Pakistan and Afghanistan, and areas of eastern Afghanistan) seem to feel no shame whatsoever in its perverse obsession with young males – what with their sexual attraction to and activity with prepubescent, peripubescent, pubescent, and just postpubescent young men. Some are active in this activity by choice, sought after by wealthy and influential old(er) men and seeking the best patron, as it were. And oftentimes – especially within the madrasas – this is without consent. The rape of boys is not uncommon at all.
And this is perverse – which even gay people would (or should) recognize. There is no equality, there is often no choice, there is no normalcy in these relations. It is almost as if these people are so misogynistic that they would even rather have sex just with men, copulating with women only to have children or to fulfill any heterosexual desires. Of course, a man’s wife has no say whatsoever regarding whom her husband fools around with.
The men retain their traditional roles of bread-winner, husband, father, sire of children, master of his household, and so on. But add to this their chasing after young men who have yet to grow beards. Though once the beard has arrived, one becomes a chaser and does not remain a chasee.
These relationships are not relationships at all. There is no love, no romance.
And yet this same area prides itself in its strict adherence to Islam, to its valiant struggle against infidel forces. Could it be that the Greeks came through – as they did under Alexander the lover of Hephaestion – and left this anomaly in that region?
I can understand the prevalence of homosexuality in the Taliban. This is not so rare in an all-male environment. Considering this occurs quite rampantly in the madrasas as well, and considering Taliban are basically students who became terrorist warriors, it is almost to be expected. But for it to be so rampant even among non-students, this is puzzling.
This really has puzzled me to no end. Of course, when the Americans came in and kicked the Taliban’s rear (what if they liked it? maybe they liked being kicked in the rear by well-built American soldiers?), the Americans could not have missed this. And it seems they did not – they too mocked this perversity of the northwest South Asians.
And I am puzzled why this would be. Is it homosexuality or a result of absolutely perverted misogyny? Is it because they like men or hate women? Is it because they objectify men or because they believe women are less than cattle?
I don’t know. But, as far as I’m concerned, these terrorist soldiers have no right whatsoever to lecture The West how to behave while they rape 9 year-old boys, see women as chattel, and violate women without second thought.

I have heard it said that there is a correlation between rampant homosexuality and mysogyny, especially the kind you’re talking about. Most of the gays I know in the US aren’t mysogynists–quite the opposite, they admire women and identify with them–and their same-sex attraction is deeply emotional. So I think this is a different brand of homosexuality.
I guess when otherwise hetero men are taught to despise women, they decide they don’t want to deal with a woman’s emotional demands, so they leave off having sex with that admittedly complicated being and opt for the simplicity of sodomy with “feminine” (not yet sexualized) males. They’re not interested in relationships, just in getting off.
And the fact that it’s a total power thing is really disturbing, though. That can’t be healthy at all.
