India’s daughter: Bilkis Bano
“All the 4 men of my family were killed brutally. The women were stripped naked and raped by many men. They caught me too. My 3-year old daughter, Saleha, was in my arms. They snatched her and threw her into the air with all their might. My heart broke as her little head shattered on the rocks. Four men caught me by the arms and legs and many others entered me one by one. When satisfying their lust, they kicked me and beat my head with a rod. Assuming that I was dead they threw me into the bushes.
Four or five hours later I regained my consciousness. I searched for some rags to cover my body, but couldn’t find any. I spent a day and a half on a hilltop without food or water. I longed for death. Finally I managed to find a tribal colony. Declaring myself as a Hindu I sought shelter there.
Those men were using such foul language, I can’t repeat it ever. In front of me they killed my mother, sister and 12 other relatives. While raping and killing us, they were shouting sexual abuses. I could not even tell them that I was five months pregnant because their feet were on my mouth and neck.
The conviction and imprisonment of my rapists does not mean the end of hatred. But it does mean that somewhere justice can succeed. I have known the men who raped me for many years. We sold them milk. They were our customers. If they had any shame, they would not have done this to me. How can I forgive them?”
– Bilkis Bano, 2002 Gujarat riots victim, who fought for ten years on her own, to ensure that her rapists were convicted.

Mac,
You are criicizing Hindu religion, which gives respect to females as goddess, and in islamic religion, they are treated just like sex toys, as your mother was treated by various contract marriages out of which you were born. Islam is a religion of terrorists to torture female community every where.
An American Non-Muslim Hijabi Shares her Story!
Amanda lives in Sacramento, California. She is a recent graduate of the University of Utah where she earned a B.A. in International Studies and Arabic. Amanda intends to pursue a Ph.D. in World Cultures
I am an American non-Muslim woman who has chosen to wear the hijab. Yes, you did read that correctly! I am not conducting an experiment on what the hijab is like or trying to explore the lives of Muslims. I have made a permanent life decision to only show my face and hands while in public, and I love it!
When I was younger, I found the hijab to be beautiful, but unfortunately I thought that a lot of the myths about the hijab were true, and so I was daunted by it. When I started college I studied Arabic and made friends with the Muslim students in my classes. A few of the girls wore a hijab, and even though I liked the look of it and respected their right to wear it, I thought that it was oppressive.
Unfortunately, around the same time, I began to notice that some of the men at my university would openly speak about their female classmates as though they were moving pieces of meat. I would often have to hear stories that I rather wouldn’t about what these boys would like to do to this girl or that one, and I began to notice their looks. Before entering university, I would catch men looking at me in an inappropriate way from time to time, and I would just ignore it, but after hearing these conversations and feeling their many looks, I couldn’t just ignore it anymore.
I mentioned how I felt to some of my classmates, and often I got responses like “boys will be boys,” or “it’s just their biology, they can’t help their behavior.” At the time, I bought these responses, and I thought that my discomfort was just my problem. I thought that these people had a right to behave the way they were, and I had no right to try and stop them.
Finally, one day I saw one of my hijabi friends at school and ran over to say hi to her. She started to walk towards me, and for some reason I was just struck by her. She was wearing a scarf and an abayaa like she normally did, but in that moment she looked regal and powerful. In my mind I thought, “Wow, I want to look just like that.” I started researching the hijab, and I learned more about why Muslims wear a hijab, what makes a hijab a hijab, and how to wrap scarves. I watched youtube videos, browsed online hijab shops (including Haute Hijab) and the more I saw the more I was impressed by how these hijabi women exuded class and elegance. I wanted so much be like these women, and couldn’t get the hijab out of my mind. I even started dreaming about it!
There were many things I liked about the hijab. I liked the thought of having so much control over my body and how the outside world saw it, but what I also liked was how well it fit with my feminist beliefs. As a feminist I believe that women and men should be equals in society, and that the norm of treating women like sex objects is a form of unequal and unfair treatment. Women in American society are looked down upon if they don’t dress in order to be attractive for others, but I believe that women shouldn’t have to conform to some ridiculous and unattainable standard of beauty. The hijab is a way to be free of that.
However, the way the hijab best complemented my feminist beliefs was how it was about so much more than women’s clothing. As I understood it, the hijab is about how men and women should interact while in public. Men also dress in a non-revealing way, and both men and women are supposed to treat each other with respect. I was happy to learn that both men and women were expected to be responsible for their own actions, and impressed at how egalitarian the ideals of the hijab are.
At this point, I was certain that I wanted to wear a hijab, but I had a problem. I was afraid that wearing a hijab as a non-muslim would be offensive, and I was too afraid to ask my friends. I found one youtube video on the subject, and though it said that it wouldn’t be offensive, I still wasn’t sure. But eventually, after weeks of thinking about the hijab, I finally asked one of my friends. She told me that she wouldn’t be offended, and then pointed out that Muslims aren’t the only ones who wear headscarves, many Jews and Christians do as well.
I started wearing it off and on for a few weeks after that, and once I felt comfortable I always wore it when I left home. Soon after, I left for an internship in Jordan. I was afraid that the Jordanians would not like that I was wearing a hijab, but quickly after I got off the plane I found otherwise! When I told people that I was an American non-Muslim, they were excited to see that I wore a hijab. People often told me that they thought it was a very good thing that I was wearing it, and some people were touched that I would show such respect to their culture. Best of all, I will never forget the sight of a fully grown man jumping with excitement because I was wearing a jilbab! These memories will always bring warmth to my heart, and they give me strength back in the states when I have to deal with angry glares or awkward questions about my hijab.
Sometimes I will still catch men looking at me in a disrespectful way, but I take joy in knowing that though they may try, they still cannot see what they want to. Because of the hijab, I understand that my body is my right, and I will be forever grateful to the Muslim women who taught that to me.

From Razia Sultan to Begum Samru: some of the women who shaped Delhi’s landscape
Being a woman in Delhi isn’t easy. But the facile expression “rape capital” makes it worse, because it elides a long history of educated and astute women who shaped Delhi’s landscape, often literally. For example, two of its most famous landmarks – Humayun’s Tomb and Chandni Chowk – were built by women.
The first woman to rule Delhi was Razia Sultan, in the 13th century. Her father Iltutmish, ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, had named her the successor, but some nobles, alarmed at the prospect of a woman ruler, put her brother on the throne. He proved incompetent, and in 1236, Razia became Sultan (she insisted on “Sultan”, because “Sultana” meant the wife of the ruler). She held an open court and dressed like a man, because living in purdah made it difficult to be in control. She governed ably, rode at the frontline in battle, and wrote poetry. Nasiriya college, established by Iltutmish, flourished during her three-and-a-half-year reign.
The Mughals
Another pathbreaking woman was Haji Begum, who started the Mughal tradition of commissioning monuments. After her husband, emperor Humayun, died in 1556, the heartbroken queen devoted her life and money to building Humayun’s tomb in what is now South Delhi. The Rs 15-lakh, seven-year project, completed in 1572, became a watershed of Mughal architecture. Its grandeur and 30-acre Persian-style garden were unprecedented on the Indian subcontinent. It heralded a distinctive Mughal architectural style that peaked with the Taj Mahal some 70 years later. Four centuries later, it draws visitors from around the world.
Three kilometres northwest is Khairul Manzil, a mosque built in 1561 by Maham Anga, a wet-nurse of emperor Akbar, Humayun’s son who became emperor when he was 14. She was like a parent to him, and had considerable influence during the early years of his reign.
In the mid-1500s, the Mughal capital moved from Delhi to Agra. Akbar’s grandson Shahjahan moved it back to Delhi in 1648. He built Shahjahanabad, in the northern part of today’s Delhi. Now it is called Old Delhi or, thanks to Bollywood, Dilli 6.
One of the highlights of Old Delhi is Chandni Chowk. It was designed by Shahjahan’s beloved daughter, Jahanara Begum, as a market in the mid-1600s. A 19th century British visitor described it as “an immense street” with many trees and a “stone watercourse” running down the middle. Perhaps the street got its name from moonlight shining on the water. Three centuries on, it is still a major market in a city far bigger than Jahanara’s Delhi. She also built a garden nearby, which the British redesigned 200 years later and renamed Company Bagh. It is now called Mahatma Gandhi Park.
It speaks to the heterodoxy of the times that while her brother Aurangzeb was a fastidious Sunni, Jahanara was a devout Sufi and a poet. This did not prevent her from being an astute politician or from having several love affairs. She is buried in a simple grave, as she wished, near the shrine of the Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya in South Delhi.
Jahanara’s sister Roshanara built one of Delhi’s biggest gardens, about five kilometres northwest of Chandni Chowk. She was buried here after her death in 1671. Some 250 years later, British and Indian elites established a club at one end of Roshanara Bagh. Roshanara Club regulars included viceroys and governor-generals before Independence, and people such as Jawaharlal Nehru and Rajendra Prasad afterwards.
One of Shahjahan’s queens, Akbarabadi Begum, built Masjid Akbarabadi in 1650, in Faiz Bazaar near the Red Fort. She also built the bazaar itself, which had an aqueduct flanked by shops. Her beautiful mosque was among the structures the British destroyed after 1857. The bazaar area, now Daryaganj, is crammed with dealers of books and medical supplies.
Also in 1650, another queen, Fatehpuri Begum, built a mosque at the western end of Chandni Chowk. In the vast courtyard is a large water tank for wazu (the Islamic ritual of washing before prayer). This Sufi mosque was among the city’s most important, so the British seized it after 1857 and sold it to a tycoon, Lala Chunnamal, for Rs 19,000. Luckily he did not destroy it, and 20 years later it was restored to the Muslim community. Today, the serene courtyard is a refuge from the hubbub of Chandni Chowk.
In 1700, emperor Aurangzeb’s daughter Zinat-un-Nisa built Zinat-ul Masjid in Daryaganj, where she was buried in 1721. In 1724, Udham Bai, a queen of emperor Muhammad Shah “Rangeela”, built the Shah Mardan shrine, popularly known as “Karbala”, in South Delhi.
Muhammad Shah was more interested in song and dance than in imperial expansion. His empire weakened, but his reign (1719-48) saw a flowering of musical forms such as thumri and hori. Courtesan patronage was at its peak, and the best courtesans commanded hefty advances.
Sommers to Samru
Perhaps the most famous is Begum Samru (1753-1836). Her given name was Farzana. She was raised to be a dancer, by a tawaif in Delhi. With the empire fraying, Europeans were seizing every opportunity they got. She helped a mercenary, Walter Reinhart Sommers, and they began to live together. The emperor gave Sommers land in Sardhana, Uttar Pradesh, and an annual income of Rs 6 lakh. When Sommers died, 25-year-old Farzana inherited his wealth and troops, and became Begum Samru (a corruption of “Sommers”). She converted to Catholicism and changed her name to Joanna, perhaps to legitimise her status as the widow of a man she never officially married. After she died, the British seized her property, and her Chandni Chowk palace became a bank.
Victorian dourness reduced nautch and tawaif culture to prostitution. Some women offered sexual services, but this was not always due to poverty, immorality, or enslavement. A nineteenth-century British account of a wedding procession in Chandni Chowk describes nautch girls as “splendidly dressed … and their long hair hanging down their backs… they stood in theatrical attitudes … joking with the populace, and had a boldness of manner most unpleasing in a woman.”
Walking through history with our eyes wide open can transform our ideas of respectability and ability. What if we walked through our city the same way?

“I feel so liberated and I feel so womanly and I feel like nothing of an object to society. As you could assume I am not of Muslim faith, as I’m of Wiccan faith but that does not stop me from wearing the hijab. I feel like as women we have no need to show our entire beauty to the world, and by wearing the hijab I feel that my beauty is covered and those who get to see all of my beauty are even more special to me!” – Victoria Caroline Langille-Boyd ( http://worldhijabday.com/object-society/ )
Daughter bought a brand new Iphone 6. She got a
screen protector along and beautiful phone cover
as well. She showed her new phone to her dad and
the conversation is as follows..
Dad: this is a nice phone. How much did you pay for it?
Daughter: it’s 700 dollars for the phone, 20 dollars for the phone cover, 5 dollars for the screen protector.
Dad: oh why did you get the screen protector and
the phone cover, you could have saved 25 dollars.
Daughter: dad! I’ve spent 700 dollars on my phone whats the point if I don’t spend 25 dollars for its safety? And more over this cover makes my phone look beautiful.
Dad: is it not an insult to the apple company that
it did not make the phone safe enough?
Daughter: no dad! They in fact recommend us to get the screen protector and the phone cover for its safety. And I dint want it to get damaged.
Dad: does it reduce the beauty of the phone?
Daughter: no it doesn’t. It makes my phone look more beautiful.
Dad looked at his daughter and smiled lovingly. And said, my daughter you know I love you, you paid 700 dollars for a phone and you spent 25 dollars for its safety. I’ve paid my life on you and
what is the point If you do not cover yourself with hijab for your own safety. This phone will not be questioned on aakhirah but my daughter you and me will be questioned.

First you have to explain why you want to quit Islam? what do you see in Hinduism that you do not find it in Islam?
Islamic women are in deep trouble in hindu majorated india, hindu organistaion like bajrangdal activitist are molesting, raping, forcebly marrying innocent muslim girls but media keep silent as victims are muslims, let us take this case for example, no mention of girls name, his religious identity, its clear what media is trying to hide, this is very sad,
here a hindu nationalist bajrangdal activist forcebly married a girl, converted her in aryasamaj(no doubt that the girl is non-hindu and thats why conversion was done in arya samaj), even the president of hindu mainstream organisation is involved in it.
Muslim girls keep alert from this type of hindu rapist , here is the news link, atleast print media published it, but television media is still kept is mum shut, http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/bangalore/Woman-alleges-abduction-forcible-marriage-to-Bajrang-Dal-activist/articleshow/44919989.cms
A Non-Muslim came to an Aalim
and asked: Why is it not
permissible in Islam for a woman
to shake hands with a man?
The Aalim said: Can you shake
hands with Queen Elizabeth ll of
UK?
The Non-Muslim said: Of course
not, there are only certain people
who can shake hands with Queen
Elizabeth ll.
Aalim replied: Our women are
Queens, and Queens do not shake
hands with strange men.
Then the Non-Muslim asked
another question: Why do your
girls cover up their whole bodies?
The Aalim smiled and got two
sweets. He opened the first one
and kept the other one closed. He
then threw both of them on the
dusty floor and asked the Non-
Muslim: If I asked you to take one
of the sweets, which one will you
choose?
The Non-Muslim replied: The
covered one of course!
The Aalim said: That’s how we
treat and see our women,,,,.
Non-Muslim: Show me God The
Almighty if He exists.
Aalim replied: Look at the Sun
Non-Muslim replied: I can’t see, the
rays hurt my eyes. Aalim said: If u
can’t look at the Creation of God
The Almighty, then how will you
be able to look at the Creator??
Lastly, the Non-Muslim invited the
Aalim to his house and gave him
grapes. The Aalim ate them, then
he offered him a cup of wine. The
Aalim refused, and the Non-Muslim
asked him, how come you Muslims
are forbidden to drink wine and
are allowed to eat grapes,
although the wine came from
grapes?
Aalim replied: Do you have a
daughter? Non-Muslim: Yes!
Then, the Aalim asked him: Could
you marry her? The Non-Muslim
said: No! The Aalim said:
Subhan’Allah, you married her
mother, but can’t marry her,

Hundreds of under-age Egyptian girls are entering temporary marriages with rich tourists from the Persian Gulf during the summer in return for money for their families, a US report has found. These unions, dubbed summer marriages, are not legally binding, and end when the foreigners return to their own countries.
The marriages are organised by intermediaries who link wealthy men, mainly from Saudi Arabia, with poor families with young daughters, for commission. The foreign “husbands” give families money and presents akin to a dowry, with the “bride price” ranging between the equivalent of £320 and £3.200.
A recent US State Department report “Trafficking in Persons” found that wealthy men from the Gulf, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, travel to Egypt to buy “temporary” or “summer marriages” with Egyptian females, including girls under 18, and that these arrangements are often facilitated by the girls’ parents and marriage brokers. The report found that children involved in the temporary marriages suffer both sexual servitude and forced labour as servants to their “husbands”.
Egypt has laws designed to combat trafficking, which state that it is illegal to marry a foreigner when there is an age difference of more than 10 years. Nevertheless, there are ways to circumnavigate this, with one common practice being to forge birth certificates to make the girls appear older, and the men younger. In 2009, a court in Alexandria sentenced two marriage registrars to two years in prison for conducting temporary marriages of hundreds of girls under 18, but non-governmental organisations (NGOs) say that this is the tip of the iceberg, and that more needs to be done to implement existing laws.
Sometimes the girls have no say, others do it out of filial duty to help support the family. And often these girls are taken out of the country where they are then forced to work as servants for the first wife. But whether they are released from the marriage and stay in Egypt, their lives are pretty much ruined especially if they get a kid in the bargain.
Many abandon their offspring out of shame, either taking them to orphanages or leaving them to join thousands of other Egyptian street children. Some girls find themselves cast in a cycle of temporary marriages with Gulf tourists, and others are targeted by Egyptian men who marry them in order to force them into prostitution.
According to Dr Hoda Badran, chair of the Alliance for Arab Women, poverty is a major factor in Mut’ah marriages.
“If those families are in such a need to sell their daughters you can imagine how poor they are. Many times, the girl does not know she is marrying the husband just for the short term. She is young, she accepts what her family tells her, she knows the man is going to help them. If the girl is very poor, sometimes it is the only way out to help the family survive.”
Many seem to think they will get more out of these marriages than they actually do. Take “Aziza” who at 17 married a Saudi man almost triple her age. Dr. Badran says he paid £2,120 for the girl, plus a promise of a job for her brother. They were ‘married’ for a month- he wined and dined her, impregnated her, then dumped her. He had told her she would join him later, but that never happened.
She waited for several months and, by this time heavily pregnant, tried to get hold of him through the Saudi embassy so her child could be formally recognised by him. However, her marriage was not officially registered which meant that Aziza could not prove her claim. She had no choice but to go back to her family and raise her baby as a single mother, something extremely frowned upon in Egypt’s conservative society.
Dear readers,
Muhammad allowed his followers to practice a form of prostitution called Muta. In Muhammad’s time, a Muslim could pay a woman for “temporary marriage,” which would last a few hours or a few days. According to certain traditions, Muhammad eventually changed his mind about this obviously immoral practice. However, some of Islam’s most trusted sources declare that Muhammad never prohibited Muta. For instance, the following passage in Sahih Muslim declares that Muslims were practicing Muta well beyond the lifetime of Muhammad:
Sahih Muslim 3248—Ibn Uraij reported: ‘Ati’ reported that Jabir b. Abdullah came to perform ‘Umra, and we came to his abode, and the people asked him about different things, and then they made a mention of temporary marriage, whereupon he said: Yes, we had been benefiting ourselves by this temporary marriage during the lifetime of the Holy Prophet and during the time of Abu Bakr and ‘Umar.
Some hadith claim that it was Umar, rather than Muhammad, who outlawed Muta:
Sahih Muslim 3250—Abu Nadra reported: While I was in the company of Jabir b. Abdullah, a person came to him and said that Ibn ‘Abbas and Ibn Zubair differed on the two types of Mut’a (Tamattu’ of Hajj 1846 and Tamattu’ with women), whereupon Jabir said: We used to do these two during the lifetime of Allah’s Messenger. Umar then forbade us to do them, and so we did not revert to them.
Hence, Muslim men who want to hire prostitutes can simply point out that Muhammad, Islam’s final prophet, allowed prostitution, and that later Muslims (like Umar) cannot overrule Muhammad. Moreover, since Muhammad allowed sex with prepubescent girls, pedophiles are free to seek out child prostitutes. That’s exactly what’s going on in Egypt.
El HAWAMDIA, Egypt , Aug 5 2013 (IPS) – Each summer, wealthy male tourists from Gulf Arab states flock to Egypt to escape the oppressive heat of the Arabian Peninsula, taking residence at upscale hotels and rented flats in Cairo and Alexandria. Many come with their families and housekeeping staff, spending their days by the pool, shopping, and frequenting cafes and nightclubs. Others come for a more sinister purpose.
In El Hawamdia, a poor agricultural town 20 kilometres south of Cairo, they are easy to spot. Arab men in crisp white thawbs troll the town’s pot-holed, garbage-strewn streets in their luxury cars and SUVs. As they arrive, Egyptian fixers in flip flops run alongside their vehicles, offering short-term flats and what to them is the town’s most sought-after commodity – underage girls.
Each year, in El Hawamdia and other impoverished rural communities across Egypt, thousands of girls between the ages of 11 and 18 are sold by their parents to wealthy, much older Gulf Arab men under the pretext of marriage. The sham nuptials may last from a couple of hours to years, depending on the negotiated arrangement.
“It’s a form of child prostitution in the guise of marriage,” Azza El-Ashmawy, director of the Child Anti-Trafficking Unit at the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM) tells IPS. “The man pays a sum of money and will stay with the girl for a few days or the summer, or will take her back to his country for domestic work or prostitution.”
The girl is returned to her family when the marriage ends, usually to be married off again.
“Some girls have been married 60 times by the time they turn 18,” says El-Ashmawy. “Most ‘marriages’ last for just a couple of days or weeks.”
The deals are hatched in El Hawamdia’s myriad “marriage broker” offices, identifiable by the conspicuous presence of air-conditioners in a ramshackle town with intermittent power.
The brokers, usually second-rate lawyers, also offer a delivery service. Village girls as young as 11 are brought to the Arab tourists’ hotel or rented flat for selection. Arab men travelling with their wives and children often arrange a separate flat for such purposes.
The temporary marriages offer a way to circumvent Islamic restrictions on pre-marital sex.
“Many hotels and landlords in Egypt will not rent a room to unmarried couples,” explains Mohamed Fahmy, a Cairo real estate agent. “A marriage certificate, even a flimsy one, allows visiting men to have sexual liaisons.”
Engaging in sexual relations with minors is illegal in Egypt. Brokers can help with that too, forging birth certificates or substituting the identity card of the girl’s older sister.
A one-day mut’a or “pleasure” marriage can be arranged for as little as 800 Egyptian pounds (115 dollars). The money is split between the broker and the girl’s parents.
Dear readers,
“MUTA” MEANS TEMPORARY MARRIAGE WITH UNMARRIED WOMEN. IN THESE MARRIAGES AGENT AND WITNESSES ARE NOT REQURIED. MUTA COULD BE FOR A NIGHT OR A FEW DAYS OR EVEN A FEW HOURS, MONTHS OR YEARS AS MAY BE FIXED. AS SOON AS THE PERIODIS OVER, THE WIFE ISCONSIDERED AUTOMATICALY DIVORCED.
MUTA IS THE ARABIC WORD, THE LITERAL MEANING OF WHICH IS “ENJOYMENT” BUT TECHNICALLY IT MEANS A MARRIAGE CONTRACTED FOR A FIXED PERIOD IN RETURN FOR A RECOMPENSE OR AJR.
THIS SORT OF TEMPORARY MARRIAGE SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN IN VOGUE IN THE PRE-ISLAMIC DAYS AND THE PROPHET PERMITTED IN THE BEGINNING IN CERTAIN COMPELLING CIRCUMSTANCES BUT LATER ON PROHIBITED IT.
ACCORDING TO AHADITH MUTA WAS LAWFUL IN THE EARLY EPOCHS OF ISLAM IN THE CASE OF NECESSITY AND WAS FORBIDDEN BY THE PROPHET ON THE DAY OF THE CONQUEST OF MAKKAH.
THE MUSLIMS MAINTAIN THAT THERE CAN BE NO REFERENCE TO SUCH A TEMPORARY MARRIAGE OF PLEASURE IN THE QUR’AN WHICH STANDS FOR MORAL EXCELLENCE AND DEALS ONLY WITH NIKAH OR REGULAR MARRIAGE, THE SHITTES CONTEND THAT THERE IS A REFERENCE TO THIS FORM OF MARRIAGE I.E. MUTA IN THE VERSE 24 OF SURAH AL-NISA. THE CORRECT POSITION IS THAT THE SAID VERSE HAS COME TO SPECIFY THE AJR OR RECOMPENSE WHICH BECOMES PAYABLE IN FULL WHEN THE WIFE IN A REGULAR MARRIAGE IS GONE IN. “BUT GIVE THEM THEIR RECOMPENSE I.E. DOWER FOR WHAT YOU HAVE ENJOYED OF THEM” ARE THE ACTUAL WORDS AND BY ENOYMENT IS MENT THE SEXUAL INTERCORSE AFTER MARRIAGE THAT MAKES THE RECOMPENSE OR DOWER PAYABLE IN FULL WHILE ONLY THE HALF OF IT IS TO BE PAID, IF THE MARRIAGE IS DISSOLVED BEFORE SUCH INTERCOURSE. THE PURPOSE OF THIS VERSE IN THEREFORE, TO CLARIFY THE OBLIGATION OF THE HUSBAND IN CASE THE MARRIAGE IS EONSUMATED BY SEXUAL INTERCOURSE.
MUTA IS NEITHER NIKAH (REGULAR MARRIAGE) NOR IS IT APPLICABLE TO THE CAPTIVE WOMEN AND ACCORDING TO AL-DAR QUTNI, ALI IBN ABI TALIB IS REPORTED TO HAVE SAID THAT MUTA IS FORBIDDEN BY THE PROPHET AS IT WAS FOR HIM WHO COULD NOT FIND (ANY ALTERNATIVE) AND WAS ABROGATED WHEN THE REVELATION CAME WITH REGARD TO NIKAH OR MARRIAGE, TALAQ OR DIVORCE, IDDAT OR WAITING PERIOD, AND MIRATH OR INHERITENCE.
AS REPORTED BY TIRMIDHI AND OTHERS IT (MUTA) WAS IN VOGUE IN THE EARLY EPOCHS OF ISLAM ESPECIALY WHEN A MAN CAME TO A STRANGE TOWN HE WOULD MARRY A WOMAN FOR A PERIOD OF HIS STAY SO THAT SHE MIGHT LOOK AFTER HIM AND HIS PROPERTY. AND AS SUCH IT WAS IN USE WHILE A MAN WAS ON HIS JOURNEY. IT WAS ALSO PERMITTED ON PERTICULAR OCCASIONS SUCH AS WAR WHEN IT IS HARD FOR MEN TO KEEP AWAY FROM WOMEN FOR A LONG TIME. MUTA WAS PERMITTED BY THE PROPHET (SAW) IN THE PERIODOF TRANSITION FROM THE JAHILIYYA TO ISLAM AND FOR THOSE WHO WERE ON THE MILITARY EXPEDITIONS AND THEN HE FORBADE IT ONCE FOR ALL.
THE PROHIBITION OF MUTA BY THE PROPHET (SAW) IS PROVED TO BE FOR EVER AND IT IS ON THIS GROUND THAT UMAR FORBADE IT AS IT WAS FORBIDDEN BY THE PROPHET (SAW) HIMSELF. PERHAPS SOME OF THE COMPANIONS LIKE JABIR, IBN ABBAS AND OTHERS WHO ACTD UPON MUTA WERE UNAWARE OF ITS PROHIBITION BY THE PROPHET UNTIL IT WAS PROCLAIMED BY UMAR.
USQALANI SAYS THAT JABIR’S STATEMENT “WE ACTED UPON MUTA” REFERS TO NONE EXCEPT HIS OWN SELF AND IBN HAZM ADMITTED MUTA TO E UNLAWFUL IN OBEDIENCE TO THE SAYING OF THE PROPHET THAT IT WAS FORBIDDEN UPTO THE DAY OF RESURRECTION, AND SAID, WE HAVE FAITH IN THIS SAYING WHICH ESTABLISHES THE UNLAWFULNESS OF MUTA, (FATH AL-BARI, VOL. 9, Pp. 166–174, CAIRO).
ALL IBN TALIB IS REPORTED TO HAVE SAID TO HAVE SAID THAT THE PROPHET ON THE DAY OF KHAYBER, FORBADE MUTA WITH WOMEN AND EATING OF THE MEAT OF THE DOMESTICATED DONKEYS. FURTHER, IT IS REPORTED OF ALI BY THE SAME CHAIN OF NARRATORS THAT HE ASKED IBN ABBAS TO ABSTAIN FROM ALLOWING MUTA FOR THE PROPHET HAD FORBIDDEN IT AND THE MEAT OF THE DOMESTICATED DONKEYS ON THE DAY OF KHAY BER.
THE UNLAWFULNESS OF MUTA IS AGREED UPON BY THE UMMAH I.E. CONSENSUS EXCEPT THAT OF THE SHITTES HOLD IT LAWFUL WHILE JAFIR AL-SADIQ, THEIR SIXTH IMAM, IS REPORTED TO HAVE SAID THAT MUTA WAS EXACTLY ZINA OR FORNICATION (BAIHAQI, SUNAN AL-KUBRA, VOL. 7, HYDERABED, 1353 A.H.).
AS TO THE VARYING STATEMENTS IN THE BOOKS OF AHADITH REGARDING THE DATE OF PROHIBITION OF MUTA, WE FIND THAT WHAT IS PROVED IS THAT MUTA WAS PERMITTED ON THE DAY OF KHAYBER AND THEN PROHIBITED AGAIN; IT WAS PERMITTED ON THE DAY OF KHAYBER AND THEN PROHIBITED AGAIN; IT WAS PERMITTED IN THE YEAR OF CONQUEST OF MAKKAH AND THEREAFTER FORBIDDEN FOR EVER.
IN THE FACE OF FACTS THAT MUTA WAS DEFINITELY FORBIDEN BY THE PROPHET THERE CAN BE NO CHARGE AGAINST THE CALIPH UMAR THAT HE WAS FIRST TO FORBID IT. WHAT UMAR DID WAS IN OBEDIENCE TO THE COMMAND OF THE PROPHET (SAW) WHO DID NOT SPEAK OF (HIS OWN) DESIRE UNLESS IT WAS A REVELATION THAT WAS REVEALED (AL-QUR’AN, 53 : 3-4). AND ABOUT WHOM IT IS SAID IN THE QUR’AN : “OBEY ALLAH AND THE MESSENGER: (4: 35). “WHATEVER THE MESSENGER GIVES YOU TAKE IT, AND WHATEVER HE FORBIDS, ABSTAIN FROM IT” (59 :7).
TO CUT THE STORY SHORT, UMAR COULD NOT DECLARE THE UNLAWFULNESS OF MUTA EARLIER AS NO SUCH CASE CAME TO HIM BEFORE. IF UMAR’S DECLARATION WAS NOT RIGHT, WHY WAS IT NOT OPPOSED BY THE DIGNIFIED PERSONS LIKE ALI AND OTHER COMPANIONS INCLUDING JABIR? THEY ABSTAINED FROM MUTA WHICH IS A CONCLUSIVE PROOF OF THE FACT THAT THEY WERE CONVINCED OF ITS UNLAWFULNESS. EVEN ALI DURING HIS CALIPHATE DID NOT MAKE MUTA LAWFUL. THE INVALIDITY OF MUTA IS THUS ESTABLISHED BY IJMA OR CONSENSUS, WHILE ITS PROHIBITION IS PROVED BY THE MOST RELIABLE AHADITH OF THE PROPHET (SAW). ITS VICIOUSNESS AND INVALIDITY ARE THEREFORE DOUBLY CONFIRMED. SHAIKH ABDUL WAHAB IS HIS BOOK DECLARES:
“THE IMAMIAH ARE, NOT ONLY OUTSIDE THE PALE OF AHLE-SUNNAH BUT ALSO OUTSIDE PALE OF UMMAH. THEY INDULGE IN ZINA. BY USING THE RECTUM OF WOMAN THEY HAVE OPENED SEVERAL GATES OF ZINA FOR THEM. ON ACCOUNT OF SUCH SENSUALITIES THEY ARE PRODUCTS OF ZINA. WE PRAY TO ALLAH TO SAVE US ALL FROM FOLLOWING THE FOOTPRINTS OF SATAN.”
NAIKAH (MARRIAGE) VERSUS MUTA
IT IS RATHER STRANGE THAT IN SHIA RELIGION GREAT BLESSINGS AND REWARDS ARE PROMISED ON PERFORMANCE OF UNLAWFUL ACTS LIKE MUTA WHILE THERE ARE NO SUCH BLESSINGS AND REWARDS ON LAWFUL ACTS LIKE NIKAH (REGULAR MARRIAGE). IT IS STATED IN ONE OF THEIR BOOKS THAT: “WHOSO DOES MUTA ONCE WILL RECEIVE THE RANK AND STATUS OF HUSSAIN; WHOSE DOESIT TWICE THAT OF HASAN AND WHOSO THRICE THAT OF ALI AND WHOSO FOUR TIMES THAT OF THE PROPHET (SAW) HIMSELF.” (TAFSEER MINHAJ-US-SADIQUEEN, VOL. V, P. 493 BY MULLAH FATHULLAH KASHANI, PUBLISHED FROM TEHRAN).
CAN THERE BE ANY GREATER AUDACITY? AND CAN THERE BE ANY OTHER RELIGION WHICH PROMOTES LICENTIOUSNESS IN SUCH A NAKED FASHION?
THE IMAMIS (SHITTES) GO EVEN FURTHER AND SAY “THE BELIEVER IS ONLY PERFECT WHEN HE HAS EXPERIENCED A MUTA (SHORTER ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF ISLAM, LONDON 1961).
ACCORDING TO SHIAS, MUTA IS AN ACT OF GREAT MERIT, IF INDULGED IN FOR THE PLEASURE OF ALLAH. WITH LOVING CONVERSATION, WITH INTERCOURSE, MERITS ARE RECORDED, AND WITH A BATH AFTER COITION ALL HIS SINS PARDONED. (ISLAHUR RUSUM — p. 164).
IMAAM BAQAR SAID THAT THERE ARE THREE RECREATIONS FOR MOMINS (SHIAS): MUTA, JOKING AMONG THEMSELVES AND PRAYERS AT NIGHT (ISLAHUR RUSUM — P. 164) HAZRAT OMAR (R.A) DECREED THAT MUTA IS PROSTITUTION AND ILLEGAL IN ISLAM. IN ORDER TO CONTROVERT HAZRAT OMAR (R.A), THE SHIAS LAY GREAT STRESS ON ITS LEGALITY AND MERIT.
AS WOULD BE SEEN FROM THE FOREGOING ACCOUNT, ALTHOUGH THERE IS A GREAT LAXITY IN SHIA RELIGION IN SATISFYING SEXUAL LUST BY WAY OF MUTA, THERE IS ONE SEVERE RESTRICTION IN CASE OF NIKAH. SOME INSTANCES OF THIS RESTRICTION ARE:
(1) IT IS STATED IN AL-KAFI (P. 350) : “NO SHIA MALE CAN MARRY A SUNNI FEMALE; AND NEITHER A SUNNI MALE CAN MARRY A SHIA FEMALE. EVEN A WEAK (IN FAITH) SUNNI CANNOT MARRY A SHIA WOMAN.”
(2) “IT IS NOT LAWFUL FOR ANY MUSIM ADULT THAT HE SHOULD MARRY WITH A SUNNI WOMAN. A SHIA FATHER SHOULD NOT GIVE IN MARRIAGE HIS DAUGHTER TO A SUNNI MAN. IF PER CHANCE THE NIKAH HAS TAKEN PLACE; HE SHOULD NOT ALLOW HIS DAUGHTER TO LIVE IN UNION WITH THE SUNNI. WHOSO HAS OPPOSED THE PROGENY OF MUHAMMAD (SAW) (AS THE SUNNIS DO) HAS NO SHARE IN ISLAM. THAT IS WHY NIKAH (MAN LA YAHDHURUHU! FAQAH).
(3) FAISAL SAYS THAT HE ASKED IMAM BAQIR WHETHER HE CAN MARRY A SUNNI LADY. THE IMAMREPLIED: NO, NEVER BECAUSE NASIBIES (I.E. THOSE WHO CONSIDER THAT ABU BAKR, UMAR, USMAN HAVE PRECEDENCE OVER ALI) ARE KAFIRS (INFIDLS). (7: 303 TAHZIB-UL-AHKAAM).
(4) IT WAS NARRATED BEFORE IMAM BAQIR ABOUT THE NASIBIS: THEREUPON HE SAID: YOU SHOULD NEITHER TAKE THEM IN MARRIAGE, NOR TAKE THEIR ZABI’AH (MEAT OF SLAUGHTERED ANIMALS) AND NOR LIVE IN THEIR COMPANY.” (7 : 303 TAHZIB UL-AHKAAM).
(5) “ALMIGHTY ALLAH HAS NOT CREATED ANY THING MORE NASTASTING ( ) THAN THE DOG. BUT THE SUNNI IS EVEN MORE POLLUTED( ) THAN THE DOG.” ( 5: 234 ).
THE SHIA CONSENSUS IS THAT SUNNI MUSLIMS ARE THE WORST OF THE CREATED BEINGS !
“LO ! HEREIN IS INDEED A LESSON FOR THOSE WHO SEE.” (24 : 44)
IT IS VERY SAD AND DISTRESSING TO NOTE THAT SOME OF THE PEOPLE OF ALLAH SUNNAH OUT OF IGNORANCE ENTER INTO MARTIMONIAL BONDS WITH THE SHIAS THINKING THAT THEY ARE MUSLIMS WITH THE RESULT THAT IN THE LONG RUN THEY HAVE TO FACE DIRE CONSEQUENCES.
THERE IS NO DENYING THE FACT THAT IT IS VERY HAND TO SAY SOMEONE WHO RECITES THE KALIMAH AS KAFIR AND ULAMA OF ISLAM HAVE BEEN VERY CAREFUL IN THIS REGARD. IMAM ABU HANIFA HAS EVEN WARNED THAT ONE WHO FACES THE QIBLA OF MUSLIMS SHOULD NOT BE DUBBED AS KAFIR UNLESS HE DENIES THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ISLAM. BUT NOW WHEN THE SHIA BELIEFS ABOUT IMAMATE WHICH IS A NEGATION OF THE FINALITY OF PROPHETHOOD AND TAHRIF (PERVERSION OF THE TEXT) IN THE QUR’AN HAVE BECOME IT IS CRYSTAL CLEAR THAT ONE WHO SUBSCRIBES TO THE VIEW OF TAHRIF IN THE QUR’AN IS A KAFIR (INFIDEL) ACCORDING TO ALL SCHOOLS OF THOUGHT OF THE SUNNI MUSLIMS.
A PERUSAL OF THE BRIEF BUT AUTHENTIC FATAWA OF THE ULAMA GIVEN AT APPENDIX — V ABOUT THE KUFR AND IRTIDAD (APOSTACY) OF SHIAS WILL HOPEFULLY MAKE THE CARE-FREE SUNNI MUSLIMS REALISE THE TRUE STATE OF AFFAIRS AND THEREBY ENABLE THEM TO REFRAIN FROM ENTERING INTO MATRIMONIAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE SHIAS OR EAT THEIR ZABIAH (MEAT OF ANIMALS SLAUGHTERED BY THEM) OR PARTICIPATE IN EACH OTHER FUNERAL PRAYERS.
FOR AN INSIGHT INTO THE SHIA RELIGION, THE READERS ARE ALSO ADVISED TO SEE VARIOUS ARTICLES IN URDU OF MAULANA ABDUS SHAKOOR PUBLISHED IN BOOK FORM UNDER THE TITLE ” . ” THIS COLLECTION IS AVAILABLE FROM: JAMIA HANAFIA TALIMUL ISLAM, MADANI MOHALLAH, JHELUM, (PAKISTAN).
THE SUBSTANCE OF SHIA TEACHINGS AND PROPAGANDA IS THAT THE COMPANSIONS OF THE HOLY PROPHET WHO WERE MORE THAN 1,00,000 IMMEDIATLEY AFTER THE DEMISE OF THE PROPHET (S.A.W) WITH THE EXPECTIONS OF FOUR PERSONS. THE REST BECAME MURTADS ( ). THE SHIA BELIEVE THAT THE QUR’AN HAS BEEN PERVERTED AND CORRUPTED OR INERPOLATED AND CHANGED WHEREAS FALSEHOOD (THE SO CALLED TAQIYA) IS THE SOLE ANS DISTINCT DOCTRINE OF THE SHIA. THEY CONSIDER IT AS THE NOBLEST OF ALL WORKS AND GREATEST OF ALL MEANS OF SEEKING NEARNESS TO ALLAH.
THE SHIA ALSO BELIEVE THAT ALI AND HIS CHILDREN ARE NOLBER ANS MORE VIRTUOUS THAN THE PROPHET (S.A.W)! REITERATING THIS BELIEF, A SHIA ALIM HAS SAID RECENTLY TO T.V TAHT RASUL-ALLAH (SAW) HAD BEEN BLESSED BY ALMIGHTY ALLAH WITH EVERY THING EXPECT MARTYRDOM. AS IT WAS ORDAINED TO COMPLETE THIS DIVINE BLESSING, IT WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH THE MARTYRDOM OF HADRAT HUSSAIN.
UNFORTUNATELY MOST OF THE SIMPLE-MINDED SHIAS HAVE BEEN BEGUILED BU THEIR LIVE FOR THE AHL-AL-BAIT (PEOPLE OF THE HOUSE OF THE PROPHET — SAW) AND THEIR HOLINESS. ALAS! WOULD THEY EVER CARE TO KNOW THE TRUTH AND TO HAVE INSIGHT INTO THE AFFARIS! BUT MOST OF THEM DO NOT KNOW THE REALITY OF THEIR FAITH AS IT IS PURPOSELY KEPT HIDDEN FROM THEM BY THEIR HIGH PRIESTS FOR ULTERIOR MOTIVES. THE BOOK IN URDU3 ——————– ————————————————— BY MAULANA ABUL HASAN ALI NADWI WOULD BE ABLE TO ILLUMINATING, INSTRUCTIVE AND HELPFUL FOR THEM IN THE DISCOVERY OF TRUTH.
THERE IS A DIRE NEED TO ENLIGHTEN AND WIN OVER MISQUIDED SHIAS TO THE PATH OF AHLE-SUNNAH BUT THE TRAGEDY IS THAT SOME OF THE ISLAMIC GROUPS IN VARIOUS COUNTRIES HAVE BEEN ENAMOURED BY THE OUTWARD GLAMOUR OF THE SO-CALLED “ISLAMIC REVOLUTION” IN IRAN. THEY ARE MISLEADING SIMPLE-MINDED MUSLIMS IN THEIR AREA WITHOUT STUDYING DISPASSIONATELY THAT THE MUCH-PUBLICISED “ISLAMIC REVLOUTION” OF IRAN IS FOR ALL INTENTS AND PURPOSES A SHIITE REVOLUTION AND IN FACT A TROJAN HORSE FOR PLATING THE SEEDS OF SHIA BELIEFS AND DOCTRINES IN MUSLIMS LANDS. LET THEM READ THE BOOK “IRANIAN REVOLUTION” AVAILABLE FROM SIDDIQUI TRUST, G.P.O. BOX 609 KARACHI (PAKISTAN) WHICH WILL UNVEIL THE CURTAINS FOR THEM. ON THE CULTURAL AND POLITICAL FRONT LET THEM SEE AND REALISE THAT SUNNI MUSLIMS IN TEHRAN ALONE NUMBERING HALF A ILLION HAVE SO FAR NOT BEEN PERMITTED TO BUIL A MASJID OF THEIR OWN DESPITE THEIR LONG STANDING DEMAND AND APPEAL TO THE AUTHORITIES INCLUDING KHOMENI. ON THE OTHER HAND, COUNTLESS SUNNI MUSLIMS HAVE BEEN KILLED SINCE THE REVOLUTION IN FEB. 1979.*
THE SUNNI MUSLIMS IN IRAN WHO ARE OVER 1/3 OF THE TOTAL POPULATION DO NOT HAVE THE FREEDOM TO BUILD A MASJID IN THE CAPITAL OR CALL ADHAN ALTHOUGH OTHER MINOURITIES LIKE HINDUS, SIKHS, CHRISTIANS AND JEWS HAVE THEIR PLACES OF WORSHIP IN TEHRAN. SUCH ID THE “ISLAMIC REVOLUTION” OF IRAN WHERE SUNNI MUSLIMS LIKE KURDS, TURKS, BALUCHIS ETC. WHO ARE IN MAJORITY IN ALL THE BORDER AREAS ARE PERSECUTED AND DENIED OF THEIR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS!
NOTES:
1. MUTA DR. MUHAMMAD MUSLEHUDDIN, ISLAMIC PUBLICATIONS LTS; 13-E, SHAH ALAM MARKET, LAHORE (PP. 67-69).
2. THIS SHIITTEE TRADITION ALONE IS ENOUGH TO DEMONSTRATE THAT IN THE VIEW OF SHIAS MUTA IS THE HIGHEST AND MOST EXCELLENT WORSHIP. NOWHERE IN THEIR BOOKS IT IS MENTIONED THAT BY ACTS OF DEVOTION LIKE SALAT, ZAKAT OR HAJ ONE CAN ATTAIN THE RANK OF IMAM OR MESSENGER (NABI) EXCEPT BY DOING MUTA. THIS ABSURDITY ALONE IS THE SPECIALITY OF SHIA RELIGION.
3 THIS BOOK IN URDU LANGUAGE IS AVAILABLE FROM MAKTA NADWATUL ULAMA, P.O BOX 93, LUCKNOW, INIDA.
4 TILL THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF IRANIAN REVOLUTION (I.E. FEB. 1980) TWENTY THOUSAND SUNNI MUSLIMS ALONE HAD BEEN KILLED IN ISPHAN AND KURDISTAN WHERE 95% OF THE POPULATION IS AHLE-SUNNAH. FOR DETAILS PLEASE SEE “KHOMENISM AND ISLAM” BY ABU RAHAN FAROOQI, (PP. 92–102) PUBLISHED BY ISHAAT AL-MAARIF, RAILWAY ROAD, FAISALABAD, (PAKISTAN).
