I am a hindu girl and love a muslim man more than anything else in my life. In the beginning of our relationship he was in love with me but he was not ready for commitment. His mother wanted him to marry girl of her choice but he opposed. He never forced me to convert. We were dating happily to each other. Initially, he too believed that woman should not work as his mother says, woman should be at home. But after spending some time together he says you can work even after we get married i have no problem in that.
His family has started punishing him mentally, for example, they do not ask him for any family meetings etc. He feels as if he is an outcast at his own house. A loving mother stopped talking to him for days and months. Few days ago, suddenly his family is pressurizing him to marry the girl of his mother’s choice. He did refuse to that but now suddenly we are into a discussion of changing the religion. From the beginning i never wanted him to change his religion. I always expected the same for him. We did discuss that we shall go for Special Marriage Act, 1954 so that none of us have to convert the religion. I never stopped him from eating beef. I was very clear from the beginning that i do not want him to change because i loved him the way he was.
But now he is more a muslim man than my lover. He wants me to convert to islam otherwise marriage is not valid. It seems as if love does not exists. I am post graduate by education and belong to one of the classy families in town. I never wanted him to come out of his family to be with me i wanted him to accept me the way i am. I was not aware of the conversion rules. For his family i was ready to convert only for the wedding and than i should be allowed to practice my religion. But now he wants me to believe in islam and worship allah.
I do not disrespect any name of god..be it allah, shiva or jesus. He is ready to wait until i convert to islam by my wish but i do not want to convert. In this, he says or marriage is not possible is i do not convert. Legally it is possible but it seems he do not want to talk about it.
I would never be able to love anybody else in my life except him but i find it illogical to convert to another religion when i do not know about that religion. Superstitions are related with all religions but why to go for the darker side. I never opposed him when he said he want his children to be muslim by religion and he never refused when i wanted to keep non arabic names of our children..
Now suddenly, he does not like my religion. He will not marry me if i do not convert. I am wondering is it because of family pressure or not. Should i give him time to think or let him go to live his life the way he wants. I do not want to fake the conversion. Please help me with some valuable suggestions. Thank you. -Smita

You are very smart and are thinking logically and rationally. Yes, “superstition” and “darker side” still present in full form, even in the year 2015. Nothing has changed. Yes, the fake-conversion business is completely illogical.
Truth: Almost all (99%?) Muslims will NOT rest till they convert the Hindu lover. That day could be after few years of dating (Rena), or immediately after marriage (Nusrat) or even after several years of marriage; but there is no option but to convert. Initially they will tolerate your fake-conversion, but as days go by, you must be 0% Hindu and 100% Muslim. If that does not work out, then the end is clear, talaak, talaak, talaak (Nirmala, Hindu woman). Unfortunately, Bollywood movies will not show all these truth. On this InterfaithShaadi site, there are more than 400 youths just like in your condition.
Let us know what rational he is presenting for conversion. Did he not know all these years that you were a Hindu?

Thanks folks and admin who actually took interest in my problem and not in religious fights. I would like to share a personal opinion that let humanity be the religion. Religion is just a way of leading life. I do not have any knowledge of religious books but i believe in the fact a positive energy does exist which helps us in being strong in all adverse conditions and the way that energy did.
About My (Muslim) man, he did clear a doubt of mine and that is he don’t want me to convert but his family wants. He does not treat human beings according to the religion. I hope he keeps this attitude forever. I threw him only one condition that if he compels me to convert then will he be able to face my parents and family ever? And finally we came to an conclusion that we shall get married according to Special Marriage Act, 1954 and then we will get married according to both marriage systems- hindu and muslim.
There is a latest bollywood film PK and which prompted “wrong number”. And from the deep core of my heart i came to know a fact and that is who has given us rights to say that a marriage is valid or invalid? Who has seen god? Nobody!! There is no super human in this world. Every body is having the same color of blood along with physical and mental abilities. It is just that every human has a bad bull and a good bull in his system. When you will feed good bull you will be a logical and happy person in contrast if you feed bad bull you will end up in fighting and killing yourself. Hatred can never flourish this world. Please stop fighting in the name of religion. Love and respect are the two things which each and every human needs. GOD is a positive energy which lies within ourselves and no matter we call that energy as Allah or MataRani.
About us, we will respect our individualism and love each other that was the conclusion of our last discussion. May be i was good in explaining him the scenario and the consequences so till now we are running smoothly. And i came to know that he is a little more sensible than i thought. I hope that both of us be as sensible as we are now!!
I would definitely be in touch with you all because somewhere i was very relaxed when i shared my problem last time and hope that we will give a good example of love is blind and it does not understand religious jargon’s!! My man is a linguist trainer and he taught me a very precious statement: ”It is not what you say, it is how you say it!!”
I will request people to be more progressive in their thoughts as life is very short for complaining things you do not have. It is your life and you are the one who can control it. Religion is to have self control and not to control overs!!

i am a hindu girl in love with a muslim man. we both are postgraduates. well educated. i had fallen out of a previous relationship bcoz the boy was not of my caste. after initail refusals to myself and to the muslim guy, we fell in love.. now i am in the situation i wanted to avoid ” going against my parents”. He is a gem of a person, understands me, helped me get rid of few ugly past issues. He loves me a lot. I approached my parents, they are very much against it. the dont even want to know his name once they came to know he is a muslim. my elder sister married a hindu, but out of caste. MY parents are still coping up with the trauma even after 4 years. my boyriend is ok with me “not converting” but he doesnt want me to do idol worship. no celebrating festivals at home once we marry. and he outrightly refused the idea of making our children as hindus and muslims . he wants all of them to follow his religion, his name.
i am torn between loving him and my parents. i keep swinging once promising them to leave him, then again refusing other marriage proposals. i cant leave my parents and go with him. while he loves me a lot, he is adamant about the fact the children are his right and only his. at the same time i dunno whether i will ever get a person who loves me so much 🙁 i am lost..

Is Aamir just out making money and fun of certain religions or he truly is genuinely a pluralist and a “progressive” thinker?

Many of my family mambers (muslim) offers me money to adhere with islam but i read out many things about it . Many of muslims rape thier own sister cousion when people came to know they got marry keep her as 2nd or 3rd wife . My cousion were rape by my brother n she hd be my bhabhi . This is rubbish . GENEVA, June 14 (KUNA) — Islamic member states of the United Nations Council for Human Rights (UNHCR) rejected on Friday paragraphs violating the Islamic law in the council’s resolution on the elimination of all forms of violence against women, noting that the member states must make sure that their laws and national policies are consistent with the rejected demands.
The rejections include the paragraph, which gives women “the right to control matters concerning their sexual lives as well as their reproductive health without coercion, discrimination or violence.” They also rejected the paragraph that allows performing judicial proceedings in cases of rape within marriage, the abolition of provisions that require the matching of certificates and allow the rapist to escape prosecution by marrying him to his victim as well as subduing victims of sexual violence to prosecution for moral crimes or slander.

Hindus have become very enthusiastic in finding science in their holy books after they learnt that other religious texts have scientific facts. They are reinterpreting it, they are not aware of the fact that the writers of the Vedas were ignorant of science, as a result the Vedas contain several scientific errors.

The errors in Quran disqualify the Quran as the word of God, who is perfect and does not make errors.
Many of the errors in Quran are self-contradictions that naskh tries to cover up. But the Quran also has archaeological errors, historical errors, errors in logic and even elementary mathematics.
For example, the Quran claims that one night, God took Muhammad to the “al-Aqsa” mosque is in Jerusalem:
“Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.” – Quran 17:1
The Muslim army conquered Jerusalem in 637 AD and the al-Aqsa mosque was completed in 705 AD. The problem with the above passage in the Quran is that Muhammad died in 632 AD, which was 5 years before the Muslim army reached Jerusalem and 73 years before the al-Aqsa mosque was built.
Or consider Quran 20:92-95, which claims that Moses confronted “Aaron” and a “Samaritan” for having made the golden calf for the Israelites while he (Moses) was on Mount Sinai:
“[Moses] said, “O Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray, from following me? Then have you disobeyed my order?” [Aaron] said, “O son of my mother, do not seize [me] by my beard or by my head. Indeed, I feared that you would say, ‘You caused division among the Children of Israel, and you did not observe [or await] my word.'” [Moses] said, “And what is your case, O Samaritan?” – Quran 20:92-95
Assyria conquered the Jewish northern kingdom in 722 BC, exiled its upper class and brought in conquered people from other lands, who intermarried with the lower class Jews who had been allowed to stay. You know muslims have to repeat the following from the Quran multiple times:
Surah 1:6-7 “Guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom You have favored, Not of those who have incurred your wrath, nor of those who have gone astray.”
These relatively innocuous words, however, are anything but. Muslims understand “those who have incurred your wrath” to be “the Jews” and “those who have gone astray” to be “the Christians” and of course, it is the Muslims who are on the “straight and narrow” and thus have Allah’s favour.
Such an utterance is extremely bigoted and hateful. When the same is uttered as part of sacred prayers to god, it becomes even more hateful and worth censuring. And Friday prayers are even worse, because Muslims also have to recite Surah 62 (The Friday Congregation) and Surah 63 (The Hypocrites). Surah 62 specifically condemns polytheists as being “in gross error“, and Jews are compared to “a donkey laden with books”. Surah 63 condemns “hypocrites” (here those who have renounced their Muslim faith or who aren’t fully orthodox) as: “They are the enemy. Guard yourself against them.”
Comparing a people to “donkeys” is an appalling type of hate speech and racism. So, Muslim prayers, whether daily prayers or the Friday congregational one, are horrible sorts of hate crimes and bigotry which deserve censure and even a ban in civilized societies.
Surah 62.5 “The similitude of those who were charged with the (obligations of the) Mosaic Law, but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is that of a donkey which carries huge tomes (but understands them not). Evil is the similitude of people who falsify the Signs of God: and God guides not people who do wrong.“
These daily Muslim prayers and teachings of the Quran lay the moral and intellectual foundation for the extermination of Christians and Jews/other Kafirs. These prayers are the very essence of hate crimes.
There are a lot of tricks that are played in islam to justify evil customs and traditions. The male community who commits so many attrociies on female, they are not afraid of hell fire. Hell fire is meant only for women. Has any male been stonned to death despite committing thousands of evils on females?
It is said that Koran respects women, treats them equally, but practically as false and misleading for ill motives.
Why only wife has to be virgin, why not husband?
Why male can keep 4 wives, why not female to marry 4 husbands?
Why female testimony is half as compared to male?
Why female is treated as field to be ploughed in any manner?
Why imams and maulvies who arrange thousand of mutta marriages
are not stonned to death?
Why female is treated property,no say on its own?
Why woman is forced to halala practices, why for such practices,
100 lashes are not resorted against males?
Why rapist Mohammad is treated as messanger of God?
Why God is against females?
Why murderer, rapist and criminals are allowed to enjoyed
pleasure of 72 virgins in the heaven?
