    Hi,

I am John Patrick, Tamil Christian and my girlfriend is a Bengali Hindu Brahman. We both wanted to get married without converting into each other’s religion and our parents also agreed to that. We decided to do both styles of wedding since my parents want a marriage in church and their parents want a marriage in a temple. But I am finding it very hard to find any church which would allow this kind of marriage without her converting. Could you please guide me as to if there are any churched that allow this?

Hi Ankitha, thank you for reaching out to us. We understand you are in a very difficult situation because this is not what you expected out of your love. Further, you cannot ask your parents or uncle for advise because they will not understand. We have guided some 1200 youths just like you right here and will guide you stepwise. Please stay with us and update as your love progresses. Ultimately we will make sure you have a happy outcome.

To make it short, you asked, “Do I have to convert first and then marry?”, the answer is BIG NO. You live in a free country and every citizen has right to follow the faith (or no faith) of their choice. First tell us if you wish to convert to Christianity? Was it your lifetime dream? If you never met this guy before, would you still convert to Christianity? Tell us what YOU want to do. Based on that we can guide how to deal with the boy and the church. There are many possibilities and we can discuss step wise later. Please get back. Thank you.
