Hi,
I am a Hindu girl (respects all religions but Love to continue as Hindu rest of my life) with Christian(protestant) boyfriend. We are in love since 4 years and he loves me a lot. He always says Christianity is the only true religion and hate Hinduism a lot. He is a hard worker, very calm going and I feel very comfortable with him. At the beginning he never asked me to stop going to temple but now he is. When I say I can’t and break the relation he is compromising at that point of time. I know he will never allow me to temples after marriage. What should I do?

If he truly loves you then he would have respected your religious beliefs. Friendship and marriage requires mutual respect which is missing in your case.
Just see the situation before marriage and imagine what he will do once you get married. What about your kids? If you are not encouraged to practise your beliefs then forget that your kids will ever have that freedom and they will be a hindu.
You should have an open discussion with your boyfriend and it should be on equal terms. Don’t ruin your life if he is adamant because if this is the trailer then think about the picture after marriage.

I converted to xnity and stayed in for eight good years. There’s no HATE like Christian love. They are awfully brainwashed and are darn against Hinduism. They r anti-Semitic. Please get outta that relationship and marry a nice Hindu boy. I bet you will be thankful. Divya

1. Change his name to a Hindu name.
2. Adopt Hinduism in entirety..

Hello Divya, why should she walk out now? She has a golden opportunity to educate this brain-washed person. Why not she should try to educate him?

Yes he believes in islam but hate only hindhuism.. he says rama, krishna and all hindu gods are human and we made them gods and GOD is the creator and he is the one… He sometimes says ” I can’t share everything with u now until we get married… I’ll share my knowledge and experiences with my faith when we are married “
OMG!! This is too dangerous a deal, “I can’t share everything with u now until we get married… I’ll share my knowledge and experiences with my faith when we are married.” Would you buy a car without knowing what that car is all about and checking its reviews? What if the salesman says, “I can’t share everything with u now until you pay money full”?
Okay, understood he has problem with Rama and Krishna or with any human form of the God. In Christianity, God is Father God or Lord God. If so, why he believes in Jesus, a human form, as Son of God? Tell him to remove all human forms, Rama, Krishna and Jesus (and Muhammad too!). Hindus don’t have to have the human form (learn more at https://www.hinduspeakers.org/faqs/), but Christianity will not survive without “Jesus” or Islam without “Muhammad.” Actually these two are “human centric” faiths, not Hinduism (Hindus have option to follow human forms, but is not mandatory). Explain him!

Thank you for reaching out. Did he explained what is wrong in going to a temple but going to a church is a great thing to do? What is the difference, as per him? Does he think his is the only true faith and not yours? Is he a male chauvinist or believe Christianity is only the true religion, while Judaism, Islam, Sikhism and Hinduism are are fake and it is sin to follow them? You said, “respects all religions,” why he did not learned this? This is something you should be concerned with. Please give us update and we will talk more. Thank you.
