Hi,

I am a black christian and fallen in love with a beautiful Pakistani girl. I am 33yrs and she 28 years, both working in a FMG company in Singapore and close association for the last 2 years.

We have decided to marry and she is ready to convert to Christianity, as she does not like Hijab and other strict restrictions on female in her community. We have sexual relations too and wish to marry soon.

Please guide. -Taylor

Taylor,

Are you a love-proselytizer? Why she has to convert to Christianity for marriage? Why she cannot remain what ever she is – a moderate Muslim? What if at a later age, she has a change of mind?

Do you believe one could be saved only by Jesus? Do you believe all non-Christians or non-Baptized will go to hell? Are you insisting that your children must be baptized and raised only as Christians? If so, you are nothing but a Christian-telibani out to trap non-Christians to convert for your gain.

Instead of this conversion business (BBS), we hope you will marry each other with what ever your original faith and respect each other as is. For children, plan raised them in both faiths without any restrictions or religious labeling. Best wishes. Admin.

I am a Pakistani boy and I find it very sad that that Pakistani Muslim is converting to Christianity! I would like to advise you to read about Islam as well and also tell her! Islam is a true religion. As for the hijab, if she doesn’t want to wear it it’s o.k but that doesn’t mean that she has to leave Islam for it!

But your Islam gives freedom of religion, why are you angry then? Plus Muslims themselves say – if you can’t follow the rules of Islam, Islam does not needs you. So why do you follow double standards?

People should be allowed to follow the lifestyle they want to as long as it doesn’t hurt others. Though, I am personally against the organized church and the organized Muslim clerics. However, Christianity is better than Islam for the women perspective. At least, the male Christian won’t consider Muhammad as a guide while the Muslims will. On the other hand there is hardly any acceptance for the girls in Islam without belief in Muhammad and his sharia law and both of these make the life of a women a pathetic one. So, I advise the girl to renounce Islam in order to set herself free from Muhammad. This necessarily doesn’t mean to accept Christianity. She can either accept any religion of her choice or can remain without any religion.
