I am Dr. Dilip Amin, founder of Interfaithshaadi.org. I have been a social researcher with a deep focus on Hindu customs and traditions. As part of the many activities that we conduct to help global Indian Diaspora, we also do multiple surveys around changing relationship dynamics in our community.

FAQs

Q: Is this survey limited to one faith group?

A; Yes, only Hindus can participate in this survey. We will plan other surveys for other faith groups later.

Q: Can someone age 18 but not married participate?

A: Yes. They can answer some hypothetical questions based on their personal views.

Q: Can husband and wife take separate survey?

A: Yes. Husband, wife and any children age 18+ can participate and express their independent views.

1. Hello:
You are invited to participate in our Interfaith Relationships survey. In this survey, we are requesting Hindu families to complete a survey that asks questions about their opinions around interfaith marriages.

It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this survey. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. It is very important for us to learn your opinions. 

Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. Earlier InterfaithShaadi reported that 38% of Hindus marry to Christian, Jew or Muslim in America. Interfaith marriages may be a concern to Hindus. Here, we wish to learn more about your concerns.
