Also admin how do you expect me to understand dharmic faiths when you dont understand it yourself.

The meaning of dharmic is religion, you are branding it dharmic so that you have something to call it next to other abrahamic faiths.

I had asked some questions on hindu mythologies and holy scriptures, no one has taken the pain to answer those. Why?

Pppl here irregardless of levels of knowledge are so quick to comment on Islam but has no answers of their own religion. Thats quite fishy.

Can you explain to me if wars and battles are so evil then why is the battle in which Krishna gave instructions to Arjuna not an evil one. The very instruction on which your whole scripture is based [Only wars fought by Muhamaad Saw have a certain hold on the ppl here Why??]

Why did Sita had to go through agni pariksha to prove her purity. Isnt Lord Rama supposed to guess her purity or forgive her??

Why is sita blamed for crossing the laxman rekha when she was just out to help someone, just like women today are blamed for getting raped.

Why did Lord Shiva not recognize his own son Ganesh? If sm1 follows him how does he expect that he will be recognise by his lord??

When Sai baba was helping poor by himself living in poverty why havent his followers taken his msg and helping poor themselves instead of making and worshipping silver statue of Sai baba? Don’t you think sai baba would be more pleased if his temple was used for welfare of poor

In Islam there is a concept called zakaat i.e compulsory charity by the able which is one of the five main pillars meaning if you dont do it you are not a muslim. Is there any such similar concept in hinduism?

If some is born poor or disabled then why is it termed the karma of that person by ppl who dont even know him, infact most disabled ppl are most sweet and filled with humanity??

A person living a life of cruelty to others dies rich and peacefully. Why? Isn’t his karma supposed to catch up to him in this life itself?? Where is the justice then?? Do you believe justice will happen someday? then when??

You said I will nvr be able to understand dharmic faith I request you or satyen or anyone to help me in this regard, I would love to learn abt these things so pls enlighten me and one more request pls keep the copy pastes to minimum and answet only the above questions first. -Zara

You have raised excellent questions, however, admin is not here to defend or criticize any religion. We will let other Hindus answer specifics for you.

Like you have listed above for Hinduism, there are many unanswered questions for Torah, Bible and Koran too. Our position is clear that ALL scriptures have limitations and written by man. An interfaith couple has to learn to take best from their scripture and leave the rest for others. When one of interfaith lovers is out to prove that “every” words in his/her scripture is ultimate truth and direct message from God, then the other lover should get alarmed form the religious fanatic.

Further, our position is Dharma is not same as religion. We wish to remain free from all restrictions of man-made religions and books and from Imams and Pandits. If you are not clear why we are saying, learn more here and here. -Admin

Zara, you have raised so many questions at the same time that it is very clear that inwardly you have a great hunger and thirst for finding truth, your questions confining to Hinduism notwithstanding.

First of all, I want to make it clear that I am not a scholar, saint and enlightened person, rather I am a common person who is also on the way of finding truth just like you. Zara, in my childhood, I used to think that in a TV , there are small alive persons inside it and when I grew, this wrong perception vanished from my mind. Similar is the case with the various descriptions, illustrations and injunctions mentioned in the sacred religious books. We read them and make a childish assumptions about them but reality or truth behind them eludes us.

Only a sudden spark or insight out of our constant meditation can bring out reality or truth before us. I will not answer any of the questions raised by you though I know the answers. Rather I quote a verse attributed to a truthful person – Dharamraj Yudhister. He says about essence of Dharma or Truth or Religion that argument is not a good instrument to find it, verses or sayings or scriptures are abundant which speak of this essence of Dharma, there is not a single Rishi or prophet who has expounded a single truth accepted to all alike.

In fact, essence of religion is hidden in dark and unvisited caves in mental horizons of a person. Therefore the only sane course left for a seeker of truth or reality is to toe the ways of great people who knew the real path very well. Again I quote a shalok (Sanskrit poetic stanza) written by great Adi Shankaracharya, which says that if you do not receive a true essence of life or truth, it is vain to go through all kinds of scriptures and if you have received enlightenment or found the real essence then also reading of scriptures of any kind is vain.

Zara, though I have given illustrations and their meanings out of Hinduism , treasure of such kinds can be found in sayings of all great people irrespective of religions. I have deliberately avoided giving you the answers of your questions and you being intelligent sort can easily decipher the motive behind it. In my previous response to you , I had avoided to give you the answers of your questions but after a deliberation I felt an urge to give you a valid response.

Lord Krishna tried his best to prevent an imminent war through various negotiations but evil Kauravas were blind in their pride and ignorance and they themselves thrust a war upon themselves by committing heinous sins. In ancient times, those who were eminent as well as powerful could have delivered instant justice as per their discretion and the society at large used to honour those acts. So different acts of Lord Krishna were justified at that time just for the sake of restoration of righteousness in the prevailing society.

As regards Goddess Sita, it is mentioned in scriptures that she was not an ordinary woman but has taken birth in a divine way and therefore she is ayonija meaning not taking birth as ordinary mortals but manifesting as a divine one. Agni Pariksha ( fire test) was nothing for such a divine woman but a kind of illusion(leela) for the sake of adherence of set principles of that time. Even Lord Ram and other enlightened persons (Rishis or Prophets) were aware of this fact and therefore did not make a fuss about it. We the mortal ones assume this incident as if it had happened to an ordinary mortal woman. Sita was divine and a Goddess and that is way we Hindus worship her not as an ordinary human being but incarnation of Goddess of Lakshmi (Goddess of wealth).

Your question about crossing of Lakshman Rekha by Devi Sita cannot be equated in the present context though it is taken as an idiom now. Again Lord Lakshman was not an ordinary human being but incarnation of Shesh Nag (The Great Serpent surrounding Lord Vishnu) and had such powers as to prevent all evil forces and Lakshman Rekha was such a power. Though Devi Sita was herself endowed with great powers and could have endured all kinds of evil onslaughts made by Ravan, Lakshman Rekha was accepted by Devi Sita just for the sake of prevailing human behavior. If such acts, though they were illusions (leelas) created by these divine persons, seemed stark truths to the common masses. again, if these acts were not committed or created, how the great Ramayana could have come into the picture and humanity benefited on account of such noble and Devine behavior of Lord Ram, Lord Lakshman and Devi Sita. Now to the persons who regard these great Gods and Goddess as mere human beings will not be satisfied despite a great elaboration but to the faithfuls, everything is pious and soul-stirring about this great epic Ramayana, just as Kuran is to the pious Muslims, bible to the Christians and Torah to the Jews.

Your question about Lord Shankar is again like treating the All Mighty and the One and Only as a mere human being bit it can be understood as coming from a person from an altogether different faith. If someone from a faith other than Islam disputes the exploits of Prophet, devout Muslims will treat him as ignorant so why in the instant case, acts of great God being treated by you as of normal human beings cannot be treated in a similar manner by the devout Hindus.

The incidents and acts mentioned in the scriptures are not at all meant for depiction of Gods and Goddesses as weaklings by any stretch of imagination but these are kind of teachings to the mortals like us. To see vagueness, absurdities and humanness in them is to ignore the power that is called Parmeshwar or All Mighty and the one and Only. These incidents and depictions are related just for the sake of creating a greater affinity and closeness to God and nothing else.

Now coming to your question of a handicapped person and his karma. It is accepted in Hinduism that whatever we suffer from is outcome of our karmas or actions of previous births and whatever we enjoy is also the outcome of our karmas or actions of previous births. We glance at the plight of suffering humanity on a physical level. Have you noticed the plight of persons suffering from the evils of hatred, jealousy, I’ll-will, contempt, falsehood etc.etc. These can also be termed as past karmas or actions but are not visible to the mortals like us. So if you want to examine the aspect of karmas, you should study it deeply. Then you will notice that the handicapped persons though visibly a suffering persons may be a very fortunate persons in respect of his divine traits as you have also mentioned about the quality of such persons.

Lastly you asks that an evil person reaps all pleasures in life. This is a casual assessment of such kinds of persons. If you go deep, you will find that such a person will be a wretched person in some other aspects and he might be suffering from mental turmoil all through his life but visibly putting up a facade of a happy person.

The question about followers of Sai Baba will be best answered by the persons related to this new sect alien to Hinduism. Only recently this sect has gained roots in the minds of Hindus and therefore it would not be appropriate for me to make any assessment of the acts of this sect.

As regards a concept of zakat like practice, it is mentioned in Rig Veda that man is born with five kinds of debts- 1. Deva runa (run a means debt). 2. Rishi Runa 3. Pitru Runa 4. Manushya Runa and 5. Bhuta Runa. I will not elaborate upon the first there runas but the fourth and fifth are related to debt to mankind and debt to animal kind. These last two debts are to be cleared by service of humans and animals. So if you go through the details of these runas, your concept of zakat will be more strengthened by the vivid descriptions of acts of sacrifices given in the scriptures, only you have to take pains of searching through various websites for a thorough probe.

I have tried my best to clear your doubts to a little extent and I shall be highly obliged if you let me know your assessment of my response spread through three four posts.
