Ahmadiyya is an Islamic revivalist movement founded in 1889, and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community its oldest and largest organization, whose membership includes tens of millions of people and spans 200 countries. There are 74 chapters in the United States; the New Orleans chapter, which includes Ahmadis from Alabama and Mississippi, was formed in 1924. They built their first community center in 1970, but opted to demolish it after Hurricane Isaac caused massive damage. They’ve spent the past year building out the new campus, which features spaces for prayer, conference rooms, several lounges and a library. The center is open 24 hours, and welcomes people of all cultural and religious backgrounds.
The New Orleans chapter president, Mobashir Ahmed, said the Ahmadi community is growing.
“Every year, the community gets bigger and bigger, in Kenner and across Louisiana,” Ahmed said. “Our membership now is roughly 100 families, about 250 people.”
The chapter’s vice-president, Mobashir Solangi, said the community center is a place that provides a safe, positive and supportive cultural and religious space for Ahmadis across the Gulf South, many of whom settled here after fleeing persecution in their countries of origin. Many Ahmadiyya Muslim Community members come from Pakistan, where the government declared Ahmadis non-Muslim, and has for decades violently suppressed them.
“We have a growing community,” Solangi said. “We believe in America, we are loyal to our country and we want our children to grow up feeling like this is their homeland. A lot of us come as immigrants, and [the community center] is a place to keep our identity, keep our children in line with our culture, our values and our community.”
Indeed, for 28-year-old Kenner native Sadiha Ahmed, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Center has helped her understand her own identity. Born in the United States, Ahmed’s parents immigrated from Pakistan 35 years ago.
“It’s interesting being a first-generation American. We struggle with our identities. We are not looked at as Americans by Americans, and we are not looked at as Pakistanis by Pakistanis,” Ahmed said. “But having a support system – elders to help us maintain our traditions and younger people who understand these struggles – that’s why it’s so important to have a Muslim community. Being here, we have religious freedom, and we have a community center to call our own.”
Among the notable speakers at Saturday’s dedication ceremony were former Lt. Gov. James Fitzmorris, and Kenner Mayor Michael Yenni and Jefferson Parish President John Young, both of whom issued proclamations commemorating the new community center. U.S. Attorney Kenneth Polite, and his predecessor Jim Letten, were also in attendance, as well as FBI Special Agent in Charge Mike Anderson.
NOW COMING TO MAIN POINT, WHY ARE YOU ON THIS BLOG JUST TO CREATE NUISSANCE AND NEGATIVE ENVIRONMENT AGAINST THE LEARNED WRITERS HERE.
I NEVER THOUGHT THAT A PERSON OF SUCH A DIRTY FAMILY BACK GROUND COULD BE BOASTING AND SELF PRAISING WITHOUT ANY SOLID CONTRIBUTION. HELL ON YOU.

So called Advocate/Alim,
Where is your competency and caliber to contribute on this blog.

Illiterate chrurchil, tout of christian Britishers,

I am not so called Alim and Advocate. I am qualified one. You are a follower of Bible.Do you have any answer as to why the Holy Name of Holy Prophet of Islam is recited in Bible. if you deny then I will quote. Meanwhile kindly see/listen to the dialogue Dr.Zakir Naik had with Dr. Campbell in USA. Expecting abusive reply.
Md.Zia-ul-Haque,Alim and Advocate
Of ffoo. Dear mulla Chacha jani
I love you
Chacha Jani! I am not happy seeing you in the blind following of Dr.Zakir naik . Chacha Jani you are a qualified ‘alim’. not he is. what do you need to highlight him. While he faced a heavy criticism by many qualified Muslim people like you.
Chacha jani! Aggressive arguments are ‘harraam’ in Islam. Because ‘kisi bhi mazhab ki daavat mei terrorist attack chhipa hota hai. Your defensive arguments are acceptable in Islam. So if someone asks you something about Islam than you should reply. I am sure in that it will make a great impression on your opponents.
Otherwise a single reply from your opponents could make you silent. i. e. Hum mei aur tum mei bahas aur takaraar ki koi gunjaish nahi.
I mean to say you’re an alim so you don’t need to give a reference of a stupid guy like Zakir naik. I think you have a lot of things to say on the behalf of yourself. Please use your own consciousness. Many alims accept that Zakir naik is not from the main and holly stream of Islam.
Thanks
Regards
Chacha jani
Zakir naik have been representing a sketchy (मनगढ़तं) Islam only and he has nothing to have the real Islam as it is is originally. So you have to save Islam and I expect a pure and divine Islam from you. And please be aware of such people who misrepresents a religion and gives others an opportunity to use bad names to your religion.
Dear readers,
Approximately 2–5 million Ahmadis live in Pakistan[77][78][79][80] and is the home to the largest population of Ahmadis in the world. It is the only state to have officially declared the Ahmadis to be non-Muslims as they do not regard the Prophet Muhammad to be the final prophet;[72] here their freedom of religion has been curtailed by a series of ordinances, acts and constitutional amendments. In 1974, Pakistan’s parliament adopted a law declaring Ahmadis to be non-Muslims;[81] the country’s constitution was amended to define a Muslim “as a person who believes in the finality of the Prophet Muhammad”.[50] In 1984, General Zia-ul-Haq, the then military ruler of Pakistan, issued Ordinance XX.[82][83] The ordinance, which was supposed to prevent “anti-Islamic activities”, forbids Ahmadis to call themselves Muslim or to “pose as Muslims”. This means that they are not allowed to profess the Islamic creed publicly or call their places of worship mosques.[84] Ahmadis in Pakistan are also barred by law from worshipping in non-Ahmadi mosques or public prayer rooms, performing the Muslim call to prayer, using the traditional Islamic greeting in public, publicly quoting from the Quran, preaching in public, seeking converts, or producing, publishing, and disseminating their religious materials. These acts are punishable by imprisonment of up to three years.[23] In applying for a passport or a national ID card, all Pakistanis are required to sign an oath declaring Mirza Ghulam Ahmad to be an impostor prophet and all Ahmadis to be non-Muslims.[62] Because he was an Ahmadi, the word “Muslim” was erased from the gravestone of the Nobel prize winning theoretical physicist Abdus Salam.[62]
As a result of the cultural implications of the laws and constitutional amendments regarding Ahmadis in Pakistan, persecution and hate-related incidents are constantly reported from different parts of the country. Ahmadis have been the target of many attacks led by various religious groups.[85] All religious seminaries and madrasas in Pakistan belonging to different sects of Islam have prescribed essential reading materials specifically targeted at refuting Ahmadiyya beliefs.[86]
In a 2005 survey in Pakistan, pupils in private schools of Pakistan expressed their opinions on religious tolerance in the country. The figures assembled in the study reflect that even in the educated classes of Pakistan, Ahmadis are considered to be the least deserving minority in terms of equal opportunities and civil rights. In the same study, the teachers in these elite schools showed an even lower amount of tolerance towards Ahmadis than their pupils.[87] Ahmadis are harassed by certain schools, universities and teachers in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The harassment includes social boycott, expulsions, threats and violence against Ahmadi students by extremist students, teachers and principals of the majority sect.[88]
28 May 2010 saw the worst single incident of violence against Ahmadis to date (see May 2010 attacks on Ahmadi mosques in Lahore), when several members of an extremist religious group (allegedly Tehrik-i-Taliban Punjab) entered two Ahmadi mosques in Lahore and opened fire; three of them later detonated themselves. In total, the attacks claimed the lives of 86 people[89] and injured well over 100. The members were gathered in the mosques attending Friday services.[90] In response to the attacks, Pakistan minister for minorities Shahbaz Bhatti visited the Ahmadi community.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, fast growing international revival movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, it spans over 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions. Its current headquarters are in the United Kingdom.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the only Islamic organization to believe that the long-awaited Messiah has come in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) (1835-1908) of Qadian. Ahmad(as) claimed to be the metaphorical second coming of Jesus(as) of Nazareth and the divine guide, whose advent was foretold by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad(sa). Ahmadiyya Muslim Community believes that God sent Ahmad(as), like Jesus(as), to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and reinstitute morality, justice and peace. Ahmad’s(as) advent has brought about an unprecedented era of Islamic revival. He divested Islam of fanatical beliefs and practices by vigorously championing Islam’s true and essential teachings. He also recognized the noble teachings of the great religious founders and saints, including Zoroaster(as), Abraham(as), Moses(as), Jesus(as), Krishna(as), Buddha(as), Confucius(as), Lao Tzu and Guru Nanak, and explained how such teachings converged into the one true Islam.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the leading Islamic organization to categorically reject terrorism in any form. Over a century ago, Ahmad(as) emphatically declared that an aggressive “jihad by the sword” has no place in Islam. In its place, he taught his followers to wage a bloodless, intellectual “jihad of the pen” to defend Islam. To this end, Ahmad(as) penned over 80 books and tens of thousands of letters, delivered hundreds of lectures, and engaged in scores of public debates. His rigorous and rational defenses of Islam unsettled conventional Muslim thinking. As part of its effort to revive Islam, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community continues to spread Ahmad’s(as) teachings of moderation and restraint in the face of bitter opposition from parts of the Muslim world.
Similarly, it is the only Islamic organization to endorse a separation of mosque and state. Over a century ago, Ahmad(as) taught his followers to protect the sanctity of both religion and government by becoming righteous souls as well as loyal citizens. He cautioned against irrational interpretations of Quranic pronouncements and misapplications of Islamic law. He continually voiced his concerns over protecting the rights of God’s creatures. Today, it continues to be an advocate for universal human rights and protections for religious and other minorities. It champions the empowerment and education of women. Its members are among the most law-abiding, educated, and engaged Muslims in the world.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the foremost Islamic organization with a central spiritual leader. Over a century ago, Ahmad(as) reminded his followers of God’s promise to safeguard the message of Islam through khilafat (the spiritual institution of successorship to prophethood). It believes that only spiritual successorship can uphold the true values of Islam and unite humanity. Five spiritual leaders have succeeded Ahmad(as) since his demise in 1908. It’s fifth and current spiritual head, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, resides in the United Kingdom. Under the leadership of its spiritual successors, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has now built over 15,000 mosques, over 500 schools, and over 30 hospitals. It has translated the Holy Quran into over 70 languages. It propagates the true teachings of Islam and the message of peace and tolerance through a twenty-four hour satellite television channel (MTA), the Internet (alislam.org) and print (Islam International Publications). It has been at the forefront of worldwide disaster relief through an independent charitable organization, Humanity First.
Dear Admn.
The comments of various writers on this site, on different issues,
clearly prove the family back ground of Mohd.Zia. I have been in his
locality for 5 years, I know his family background personally and whatever information about his mother, sister, daughter and including himself that is absolutely true.
This so called Advocate/Alim is not reliable. The way he writes, about different writers,as if he knows them, he has given money, or his servants married some one or he help are baseless and false. As part of ego defence, he blames them but the reality is that he belongs to prostitution family with no moral character.
Evidence of so many writers about him clearly indicate his worst family background.
Regarding, Ahmadiya religion, I would like to add that wish to create peace and harmony in the world. Peace must be established within society, as we all are dreaming to live in happiness. Happiness can be attained only if we live in peace and harmony together with our fellow beings. Therefore we have to start it establishing peace and harmony within smallest society where we live. We can start it from our family, encouraging the members within our family to love, honor and respect each other. Once we are able to implement it in our own family, definitely we can start it over to establish peace and harmony in the bigger scope than that, let say within our society in the village, town, and country. We have to start it over and give our best efforts to promote peace, love and living in harmony amongst the people.
Therefore one of the very important aspect to establish peace, love and living in harmony is to respect all different religions including to honor all the Founders of Religions, the Holy Books of all different religions and also places of worship of all different religions. These issues become so important because if the followers of different religions ignore this, it will cause chaos and disorder within the society. This matter is very serious as the on going unrest in the world happened because of disrespect towards other religions by doing some actions hurting the feeling of other religion’s followers. And some of misguided deeds of the people trigger chaos everywhere. Therefore no matter what is your religion, you have to pay respect to other religions. Eventhough we are different in some beliefs, but we have to respect each other on behalf of establishing peace and harmony within society. Do not insult the Prophets of different religions, honor the Holy Books of different religions, and also honor other places of worship as well.
Ahamadiya the bastard,
I don`t have any sister and this proves that you are a habitual liar. My family is well known in Bengal and that I had primary education in England whereas his father, grand father and others were cooks in hotels or hospitals.
