Team Interfaithshaadi,
I would want to begin by expressing my appreciation towards your fight against the cause of inter-faith problems that seems to have very limited redressal platforms.
Someone very important to me, once had to discontinue his relationship with his partner because of an inter-faith conflict.
I found it extremely sad and disappointing that someone in my generation would still give away to such pressures. There was nothing I could do to help him or his partner. I felt powerless; this is not what I want the world to be. Being in love means to be happy and accept each other regardless of gender, religion, caste or creed.
I will fight the cause that he refused to fight. I want to bring change. I want to make a difference. I want to be able to help people realise that religion is a personal choice and should only help make an individual in particular and the society at large a better place and not break hearts.
I seek to find a solution to a very old problem. I will fight for a world with national and one day global integration. I will fight against cultural or religious discrimination.

Hello Padma, We love your message. We are 100% with you and wish to support the cause you wish to fight for.
Actually, we were exactly in your situation in 2006 where we observed religious discriminations around us. Initially we tried to take the fight locally but failed miserably. Later, we starting writing articles to newspapers and magazines but had a limited success. Finally, in 2009, we start this web forum to express our views. Now we have millions of hits and an international appeal. Google is our best friend who keeps sending most relevant queries to our doors. Now we are in process of finalizing a book on the same subject matter. We wish one day you would have lots more success than what we have. We wish you the best.
What you said “Being in love means to be happy and accept each other regardless of gender, religion, caste or creed” is true in colleges and Bollywood movies. However, just 4 months before the marriage, the hell breaks loose. Idealism and reality are different beasts. Unfortunately we are still in strong shackles of religious fanatism. Pluralism and tolerance are only buzz words and has not penetrated in most of minds. Lets work together to change that.
You said, “I found it extremely sad and disappointing that someone in my generation would still give away to such pressures,” but unfortunately most have to submit to religious dogmas. Largely, this world is not ready for an interfaith marriage with equality, not yet!
On this web forum, we are exposing religious institutions and intolerant teachings into different scriptures (below). You will be amazed how God is saying these. Some countries made laws to benefit one faith over the other (read Malaysia); this is insane.
InterfaithShaadi has almost 1200 new-adult victims expressing their pain due to an interfaith love. We hope next person in love should read all these before getting deep into relationship. Unfortunately, people in early stage of love have no interest in knowing all these, till it is too late. Can you help us reaching out to people who just got into love or youths who may potentially get into love?
You said, “I will fight for a world with national and one day global integration,” we would say now you have already initiated this process. Now you have this world forum to express your views. We recommend you to 1) reach out to all your friends and invite them to share their views on this post, 2) share this URL to your Facebook and other youth forums and stimulate such discussion there, 3) be a consultant on this web site; come to this web site weekly to guide all these youths who are looking for guidance 4) write your views in a form of article and try to publish in newspapers and forum like ours and 5) some day plan to write a book. Let us know how we can help you.
We are looking forward to your partnership to make this world a better place to live for all. Best wishes.
