I am foreigner. I converted to Islam in Singapore to marry a local Singaporean muslim girl.
I want to now give up Islam and revert to my original religion legally, how do I do this? -Anony

Anony,brother fake conversion and forced conversion is the worst thing we can ever do both to ourselves as well as the faith in question..for eg,yesterday you converted to islam today you will convert to ,say Judaism,tom Sikhism etc..it’s faith not shoes..but currently as you’re Muslim(on paper),just read about the teachings of islam and then if you are sure about leaving it then feel free to leave..converting/following any faith is your fundamental right in the constitution,don’t let anyone tell you otherwise,as long as you’re not being forced of course..but this time make sure that whatever faith you get into,you follow it in a committed way..rest your wish..all the best

The Muslim Brotherhood should be worried. Equal rights for women would not destroy society but Islam.

We thought India has freedom of expression and selection of religion. What do you mean by “indians (means Muslims?) would have delt with u strongly”. What would you do if that person was in your neighborhood?

Which country are you from? Are you married? How is your married life going? How your wife will react to your action?
Specific answer to your question, “revert to my original religion legally”, you have freedom of choice. What ever is your last declared religion is your faith. For this reason, write down a WILL stating your new choice and ask two independent people sign it. Also go to religious institute of original faith and ask the priest/leader there to formally convert you by certain religious ceremony, ask them to sign on a formal paper, take photos graph as proof and you are done. Then go change documents where ever it states you as a Muslim (that you are no more). Simple!
