Ex Ahmadi Converted to Christianity

Marie says: May 2, 2016 at 8:50 pm

I don’t know the outcome of Tanya but I do hope she has found a solution. I am an ex Ahmadi myself and converted to Christianity in 2013. I am a mature lady and was already married with two grown up children. Ahmadis appear very loving from the outside but believe me, they do have their flaws and do not practice Love for all, hatred for none. I was divorced, my family showed me hate to the point of fear of my life. It is a disillusion that they are tolerant even though they themselves are persecuted. Masroor is not a spiritual person let alone claiming to be a Khalifa of the true Islam.
To Tanya, I hope you continued with your studies and do find the right person to marry regardless of his religious background. -Maria

I was not born or lived in a Muslim country. Yes, I believe in judgement, I did not just leave Islam and besides since ahmadis are not considered Muslims why are you judging me? I believe what I believe, any religion that leads to God is the true path but Islam was not for me. I don’t need to justify my beliefs as only God is my judge, not men/women.

We love your pluralistic belief, “any religion that leads to God is the true path,” superb! That is the way it should be. If you are a pluralist, then “Islam was not for me” make sense. We agree that Sunnis will say all Ahmadi’s are not Muslims, only Sunnis. We are glad you are not in a Muslim majority country and thus you have rights of expression. Please come on this web site to educate other youths in interfaith love and teach them pluralism. If you have interfaith relationship experience, please share. Keep in touch!.

    Hi Maria,

Sorry your marriage did not worked out. How can you say one particular faith group are all bad based on one your experience? Why did you converted out of Islam? You could have been some other type of Muslim, rather than leaving Islam. Are you not worrying about Judgment Day? Another question we are wondering is–how you dared to leave Islam? We thought in most Muslim majority countries, punishment for apostasy is death (Bukhari 9.84.57).
