Hi Radhu,

It is hard as a parents to convince your son to do something against his wishes. In the end, it should be what your son wants and not what you wish. As a parents, your job is to provide guidance, that’s all.

Educate yourself and ask challenging questions to your son. Ask him why conversion logical, while what you are telling is illogical. Challenge him on every critical points.

As we said above, your son has to do that is just right for him. Likewise, tell your son that you (as a parents) will do that is just right for you. Tell him upfront that if you feel your son is doing something totally illogical, then you will not support him financially and even your life savings (home and land) may go to some charitable cause verses to your son. Today’s new generation must know that “rights” goes both sides.

Now to your question, the answer is YES. Not only that, your grandchildren may believe one day that Raghu and his wife are sinners going to go to hell on the Judgment Day. Your Christian daughter-in-law will always see you as idol-worshippers who are praying to false gods, and not Jesus. Take your time and read this article in details https://www.interfaithshaadi.org/?p=651 . It is time to educate your wonderful (potential) daughter-in-law, and the time to do is now.

Ask your son why it is logical for a Hindu to convert? Why the Christian cannot convert to Hinduism? Why not follow Jesus, and ignore these intolerant churches?

Lets talk more later. Do not present this to your son now, but best option is to keep all religions out and get married by the Special Marriage Act 1954. Later, both are free to follow their own faith and respect each other truly. Is this not beautiful? –Admin

Hi, I’m a Muslim girl and my bf is an Indian. He working at Singapore. We in relationship for three years. Basically I’m a Muslims by name only because I’m a mix girl which my mother is Indian and my father is Muslims from Indonesia and married my mum. My mum convert to Muslims because of my father but then she still following all the Indian tradition. Me it self I don’t want my partner to convert since I’m not following that religion. And he also don’t want to convert.since small I have been live as Indian. But then wen it comes to marriage life what should I do. He don’t want to convert and me itself I don’t follow the religion. We want to live as Hindu. Is there any possibility to married without convert. Because basically I’m following Indian religion and culture. Is it possible for me to convert to Hindu.

      Hi shieny,

    Dear Raghu,

Please let us know how it went. Was there any issues in church ceremony due to your son’s religion? Was he asked to convert inorder to make it happen? Perhaps, I could help myself with this info.

No, because his marriage will be dictated by secular laws. The first marriage counts.

Yes. The marthomite will make him sign this document; meaning your Hindu heritage will end with your son and your future generations will be all Christians. Later, they will go and convert more Hindus. Read more what we wrote at https://interfaithshaadi.org/?p=651. One day, you will be taking your Christian grandchildren to church for Christian teaching that Hindus are sinners. One day, all your hard earned money will be used for the benefit of Christianity.

Solution: Ask your son NOT to sign any one sided pre-Nuptial agreement. Remind him that this pre-nap is a legal document, he will not get custody of children in case of divorce and Jesus never said to make Hindus sign this. There is nothing in your son’s benefit in signing this document, other than foolishness (you may call it blind-love).

        Loved your Answer Mr. Dilip.

“Why not follow Jesus, and ignore these intolerant churches? ”

I am a Christian and I know that most of the Church is not following what is written in the Bible
