2020 Love-Jihad cases
On 26th October 2020, 21 year old Nikita Tomar was shot dead at a point blank range by Taufeeq outside her college in Faridabad in broad daylight. Nikeeta had lodged a complaint of molestation and stalking against Taufeeq a few weeks ago.
Oct 18, 2020: Dildar Qureshi (Married person) entrapped a 13-year-old Hindu girl in a love affair posing as a Hindu. He then eloped with the minor on October 18. When the family of the minor Hindu girl came to know about the incident they lodged a complaint against the Muslim youth.
On 17th October 2020, K. Radhika is kiIIed by ‘boyfriend’ Syed Mustafa and his brother Jameel in Hyderabad, Telengana. They use a butcher’s knife to slit her throat.
On 22nd September 2020 – 23 year old Priya Soni was BEHEADED by her ‘husband’ Ejaz Ahmed in Sonbhadra, UP because she refused to convert to Islam.
In July 2020, Shamshad kiIIed his Hindu wife Priya and her minor daughter from a previous marriage, Kashish by strangling them and buried them inside their own rented home.
In June 2020, TikTok celebrity named Shivani, from Haryana, was kiIIed by her ‘friend’ Arif, who hid Shivani’s dead body in her own beauty parlour.
In February 2020, Saddam Hossain kiIIed Rama Day and her daughter Riya Day in Haldia, WB by burning them alive after having an affair with both of them.
In January 2020, Ayaz Ahmed smashed his wife Reshma Manglani’s head with a stone because he did not like her being active on Facebook. She was the mother of his one year old son!
2019 Love-Jihad Cases
In July 2019, aspiring model Khushi Parihar was kiIIed in Nagpur by her boyfriend Ashraf Shaikh by smashing her head and face with a brick because he did not ‘like her friendship’ with other men.

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of Kentucky. I am looking for people/volunteers to take part in an interview about interfaith romance/marriage. I would like to discuss the social and political experiences of the Indian Hindu diaspora in the US.
I am looking for participants who are adults (more than 18 years old) and identify as Hindu and belong to Indian (Asian) ethnicity. Also, the volunteers should be living in the US for at least 5 years (or were born/brought up in the US).
