Jennifer says: May 9, 2020

I am also a Pentecostal girl and I am in love with a Hindi guy. I want him to be 100% Christian. Then only my parents will agree. I am really broken. –Jennifer

My girlfriend is a Christian and I am a Hindu Brahmin and we are dating from quite a few years. We want to get married and be together but she believes that for the success of the marriage we both have to be on one platform (faith) which has to be her’s only and hence has a condition that I should know her God and be baptised for us to be together. I have been explaining to her about equality and and that we both should support each other in our respective faiths but she isn’t ready to accept that and says that this marriage can happen only if I move to her side of the faith. I have also explained her the issues that this can cause within me and my family. Eventually we have concluded that this marriage cannot happen because she wants me to leave my faith and she is not ready to accept a neutral ground.

I don’t know how to make her change her mind.

    Hello Jennifer,

Please explain why your lover has to be 100% Pentacostal? Is that your personal wish from the start of your dating him or now you are asking just to please your parents and church? Please clarify.

Is the Hindu boy willing to be 100% Christian (0% Hindu)? Why you said you are broken, is that because he is not ready for that? Get back and we can talk. Best wishes.
